Online Bingo in Canada: The Short Answer
Online bingo in Canada comes in two very different forms: provincial sites run by your government lottery corporation, and offshore casinos that carry bingo next to their slots. Among the 12 casinos we track, 22Casino gives bingo its own place in the main menu, so it is our pick for players outside Ontario and Alberta.
BC.Game also lists a Bingo tab with titles such as Wild Bingo, Bingo Pirata and Sweet Alchemy Bingo. Both sites are offshore: neither is regulated by a Canadian province, and that changes who you turn to if something goes wrong.
This guide explains how each bingo format works, what your odds really depend on, how bonus terms treat bingo, which provincial options exist where you live, and how to keep a bingo budget under control. We read the operators’ own pages from a Canadian IP on October 9, 2026; we did not deposit or play for real money.
Best Bingo Lobby Among Our Picks: 22Casino (91/100)
22Casino shows BINGO as a top-level menu item, right between TV Games and Virtual Sports, and its lobby runs a dedicated “Slots – Bingo” carousel. In the homepage screenshot below you can see Turbo Bingo, Wild Bingo and Bingo Go! side by side, each with a “Play for Free” option.

The site is operated by Starsten Ltd. (British Virgin Islands) and holds Kahnawake licence No. 01056, issued on May 13, 2026. Its welcome package was shown as up to C$2,360 + 150 free spins on the homepage and up to C$2,250 + 150 free spins on the promo page — verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. Where Canadians Can Play Bingo Online
You can play bingo online through two sites from our ranking, plus the government-run sites in your province. The table sums up what each source confirmed when we checked in October 2026.
| 🎱 Site | 📜 Licence / status | 🎮 Bingo on offer | 🔞 Age |
|---|---|---|---|
| 22Casino | Kahnawake No. 01056; offshore, not provincially regulated | BINGO menu tab; “Slots – Bingo” carousel (Turbo Bingo, Wild Bingo, Bingo Go!) | 18+ in its terms; your provincial age (19+ in most provinces) still applies |
| BC.Game | Anjouan ALSI-202410011-FI1; offshore, no iGO licence | BINGO tab; “All Bingo Games” row with Wild Bingo, Immortal Romance Video Bingo, Rainforest Magic Bingo and more | 18+ in its terms; your provincial age still applies |
| Ontario regulated sites | Registered with AGCO, conducted and managed by iGO | iGO lists 888 Casino, Betty, Casino Time and Delta Casino under the Bingo category | 19+ |
| Provincial lottery sites | Run by the province (PlayNow, Loto-Québec, Atlantic Lottery) | Check each site’s game menu; offers change by province | 19+ (18+ in Manitoba and Quebec) |
In short: the offshore sites give you the biggest catalogue of bingo-style games, while the regulated sites give you a provincial regulator to complain to.
22Casino: Bingo as Its Own Category
Besides the BINGO tab, 22Casino’s collection filter carries Bingo next to Keno, Scratch Cards, Crash and Jackpot Game, so you can narrow the lobby to draw-style games quickly. Live chat runs 24/7/365 in English.
Payments are the weak spot in what we could verify: crypto deposits are confirmed (with a 10% Golden Crypto top-up promotion), but the cashier pages we read did not list Interac or card limits. The terms also allow up to 30 calendar days to pay winnings, even though a homepage banner promises “instant withdrawals”.
BC.Game: Video Bingo in a Crypto Lobby
BC.Game puts BINGO in its top bar alongside Casino, Sports, Poker and Lottery. The “All Bingo Games” row we captured listed Bingo, Wild Bingo, Immortal Romance Video Bingo, Rainforest Magic Bingo, Sweet Alchemy Bingo, Bingo Pirata, Bingo Destiny, Bingo Samba Rio, Lucky Shamrock Bingo and Aqua Boutique Bingo.
These are mostly video bingo titles — single-player games against a random number generator, not shared rooms. The site shows balances in CA$ and runs 24/7 support; see the BC.Game review and our crypto casino guide for the wallet side.
75-Ball, 90-Ball and Other Bingo Types
Online bingo comes in five main formats, and the one you pick decides how long a game lasts, how many prizes are paid per game and how fast your budget moves.
| 🎱 Format | 🧾 Card | 🏆 How you win | ⏱️ Pace |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75-ball | 5×5 grid, letters B-I-N-G-O, free centre square | Complete the called pattern (line, letter shape, blackout) | Medium |
| 90-ball | 3×9 ticket, 15 numbers per ticket | One line, then two lines, then full house | Slower, three prizes per game |
| 80-ball | 4×4 grid | Rows, columns, corners or full card | Medium-fast |
| 30-ball (speed bingo) | 3×3 grid | Full card | Very fast |
| Slingo / video bingo | Slot-style reels or 3–4 cards | Paylines of marked numbers, extra-ball purchases | Instant, single player |
For a long evening of chat and several prize tiers, 90-ball is the classic; for quick sessions, 30-ball and video bingo end in seconds — which is exactly why they drain budgets faster.
75-Ball Bingo: The North American Classic
75-ball is the version most Canadians know from community halls. Each card has five columns under the letters B, I, N, G and O; column B holds numbers 1–15, I holds 16–30, and so on up to O with 61–75. The centre square is free.
Before each game the room announces a pattern: a straight line, four corners, a letter, a picture frame or a full card (“blackout”). The first player to complete it wins, and ties normally split the prize.
90-Ball Bingo: Three Prizes per Game
90-ball tickets have three rows and nine columns, with five numbers on each row. A strip of six tickets covers every number from 1 to 90 exactly once, so every call marks something.
Each game pays three times: the first player to finish one line, the first to finish two lines, and the first to fill all 15 numbers (the full house). The full house usually carries the biggest share of the pot.
80-Ball and 30-Ball Speed Bingo
80-ball uses a 4×4 card, often with patterns such as a single row, a column or the four corners. 30-ball strips the game down to a 3×3 grid and only one prize: fill the card. With so few numbers, a game can end within a handful of calls.
Slingo and Video Bingo
Slingo blends a slot reel with a bingo card: you spin, matching numbers are marked, and completed lines (“slingos”) climb a pay ladder. Video bingo — the titles in the 22Casino and BC.Game lobbies — lets you play several cards at once and buy extra balls at the end of a round.
Both are RNG games with a fixed return-to-player setting, closer to online slots than to a bingo hall. The “extra ball” offer is where most of the house edge hides: in many video bingo games its price rises when you are one number away from a big win.
How Online Bingo Works
Online bingo replaces the caller and the ball machine with a random number generator (RNG) that draws numbers one at a time, while the software marks your cards for you. You buy tickets before the countdown ends, the game starts on schedule, and the first valid card wins.
The Random Number Generator
The RNG picks each number independently from the remaining pool, just like balls leaving a drum. Nothing you do — the cards you choose, the time you join, the seat you sit in — changes which number comes next. What you control is how many cards you hold and in which game.
Rooms, Tickets and Auto-Daub
In multiplayer rooms, a ticket price and a prize pot are set for each game. Auto-daub marks numbers automatically, so you can’t miss a call even with 24 cards in play. Most rooms also let you pre-buy tickets for later games, which is handy but makes it easier to spend more than you planned.
| 🧩 Term | 📖 What it means | 💡 Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Daub | Marking a called number | Auto-daub removes the risk of missing a win |
| Pre-buy | Buying tickets for future games | Commits money before you sit down — cap it |
| Fixed pot | Prize set in advance | Your odds fall as more players join, the prize doesn’t grow |
| Progressive pot | Prize grows with ticket sales | Bigger prize, but more cards competing |
| Full house / blackout | Every number on the card marked | Usually the biggest prize of the game |
| Extra ball | Paid extra draw in video bingo | Main source of the house edge in video bingo |
Knowing these terms makes the rules screen of any bingo room readable in under a minute.
The Community and Chat Side
Bingo has always been social, and online rooms keep that with a chat window, a chat host and small side games run inside the chat. For many players the room is the point, not the jackpot.
That social pull is also a risk: a friendly room makes long sessions feel short. Set your session length before you join, not when the chat winds down.
Online Bingo Odds: What Actually Decides Them
Your odds in a shared bingo game are simple: your share of the cards in play. If 200 cards are in a game with one winner and you hold 10, your chance is roughly 10 in 200, or 5% — before ties.
| 🎟️ Your cards | 👥 Cards in play | 📊 Approx. chance to win | 💸 Cost at C$0.50 a card |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100 | 1% | C$0.50 |
| 10 | 100 | 10% | C$5 |
| 10 | 400 | 2.5% | C$5 |
| 24 | 400 | 6% | C$12 |
| 24 | 1,000 | 2.4% | C$12 |
Buying more cards raises your chance and your cost in exactly the same proportion — so the real lever is choosing quieter rooms, not buying more tickets.
Quiet Rooms vs Busy Rooms
A fixed C$20 prize in a room with 100 cards is a better deal than the same C$20 in a room with 1,000 cards. Late-night and weekday games tend to be quieter, but always read the prize and card count shown in the lobby before you buy.
Why Video Bingo Is Different
In video bingo there are no other players: the game pays according to a built-in return-to-player rate, like a slot. Card count doesn’t matter in the same way, and the extra-ball prompts are designed to feel like a near-miss you can fix with one more payment.
Pro Tip:
Decide before the session whether you will ever buy extra balls. A simple rule — never, or only when the cost is under a set amount such as C$0.50 — removes the near-miss pressure entirely.
Common 75-Ball Patterns Explained
A pattern is the shape you must complete on a 75-ball card, and harder patterns usually pay more because they take longer to finish.
| 🔷 Pattern | 🧾 Squares needed | ⏱️ Typical length | 🏆 Prize level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single line | 5 (4 with free centre) | Short | Low |
| Four corners | 4 | Short | Low |
| Letter X | 9 (8 with free centre) | Medium | Medium |
| Picture frame | 16 | Long | Medium-high |
| Blackout / coverall | 24 + free centre | Longest | Highest |
If you want more wins with smaller prizes, look for line and corner games; blackout games suit players who don’t mind long waits for a bigger pot.
Coverall Jackpots
Some rooms pay a bonus jackpot only if the blackout is completed within a set number of calls. That jackpot is rarely won, so treat it as a lottery-style extra, not part of the expected return.
Bingo and Casino Bonuses: Read the Contribution Table
Most casino welcome offers are built for slots, and bingo often contributes nothing to wagering — or can’t be played with bonus money at all. Always find the game-contribution table before you accept a bonus.
Kingmaker and Golisimo share the same General T&C, and their contribution table is explicit. Verified on the operators’ sites in October 2026:
| 🎰 Game category | 📈 Kingmaker / Golisimo contribution |
|---|---|
| Slots (most), Scratch Cards, Keno | 100% |
| All live games | 10% |
| Video poker, Plinko | 10% |
| Table and card games | 0% |
| Bingo games | Not available with bonus funds |
| Slingo games | Not available with bonus funds |
| Jackpot slots | Not available with bonus funds |
So if you join Kingmaker or Golisimo for bingo, a deposit bonus won’t help: you’d play bingo with cash only, while the bonus (x35 on deposit plus bonus by default) can only be cleared on other games.
A Worked Example
Take a C$100 deposit with a C$100 match under the Kingmaker/Golisimo default rule: x35 on C$200 means C$7,000 in qualifying bets. None of that can come from bingo. A bingo-first player would be locking a deposit into slot wagering they never wanted.
22Casino’s bonus terms page (with per-deposit split, wagering and game weighting) was not captured in our check, so confirm in the live chat whether bingo counts before opting in. Our wagering requirements guide explains the maths in detail.
Watch out:
If bingo is your main game, it is often better to decline the welcome bonus. Cash play keeps your winnings withdrawable without any rollover.
Is Online Bingo Legal in Canada?
Online bingo is legal in Canada when it is conducted and managed by a province, under section 207(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. There is no federal online gambling regulator, so what you can play — and where — depends on your province.
Offshore casinos such as 22Casino and BC.Game accept players from many provinces, but they are not regulated by a Canadian provincial regulator. If a dispute arises, you deal with the operator and its licensing body (Kahnawake for 22Casino, Anjouan for BC.Game), not your province. Players in Ontario and Alberta should use their province’s regulated sites. Our legal guide covers the details.
| 🗺️ Province | 🏛️ Government / regulated option | 🔞 Age |
|---|---|---|
| Ontario | Regulated market (AGCO + iGaming Ontario); OLG.ca | 19+ |
| Alberta | Regulated market since July 13, 2026 (AGLC + AiGC) | 18+ |
| British Columbia | PlayNow.com (BCLC) | 19+ |
| Manitoba | PlayNow.com with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries | 18+ |
| Saskatchewan | PlayNow.com (since 2022) | 19+ |
| Quebec | lotoquebec.com (Loto-Québec) | 18+ |
| NB, NS, PEI, NL | Atlantic Lottery Corporation | 19+ |
Whichever option you use, the legal age of your province applies — even when an offshore site’s own terms say 18+.
Ontario Bingo Players
Ontario has the widest regulated choice. iGaming Ontario’s official list (84 websites, accurate as of September 1, 2026) tags 888 Casino, Betty, Casino Time and Delta Casino with the Bingo category. Neither 22Casino nor BC.Game appears on that list. See our Ontario online casino guide.
Alberta Since July 2026
Alberta’s regulated iGaming market launched on July 13, 2026 with 22 registered sites, overseen by AGLC and run by the Alberta iGaming Corporation. Albertans should check that list first, at 18+.
Are Bingo Winnings Taxed?
For recreational players, generally no. The CRA treats gambling winnings as windfalls, and lottery winnings are not taxable unless the prize is income from employment, a business or property. Interest you later earn on winnings is taxable.
How to Start Playing Bingo Online
Getting into a bingo game takes about ten minutes once you’ve picked a site — most of that is the account and limits setup, which is worth doing properly.
- Check your province first. In Ontario or Alberta, use a regulated site; elsewhere, look at your provincial lottery site before an offshore one.
- Open the bingo section in free play. 22Casino shows a “Play for Free” option on its bingo tiles — use it to learn a format before paying.
- Register with your real details. 22Casino may ask for photo ID and a proof of address under 3 months old; a frozen account is the price of shortcuts.
- Set a deposit limit before your first deposit. 22Casino offers daily, weekly or monthly limits; raising one takes 24 hours.
- Read the room rules. Ticket price, prize, pattern, number of cards in play and whether ties split.
- Decide on bonuses. Check the contribution table; skip any offer that blocks bingo.
Verification (KYC) Before Withdrawals
22Casino’s terms describe identity checks by risk level: passport or ID card with photo, a utility bill or other proof of address no older than 3 months, and sometimes source-of-funds questions. Sending these early avoids a delay on your first cash-out.
Deposits and Withdrawals for Bingo
Bingo tickets are cheap, so payment limits and withdrawal speed matter more than flashy deposit options. What we could confirm differs a lot between the two bingo picks.
| 💳 Point | 🎱 22Casino | 🪙 BC.Game |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed methods | Crypto deposits (coins not itemised) | Crypto (BTC and its own BC token shown) |
| CA$ display | Yes | Yes (CA$ balances) |
| Withdrawal timing in terms | Up to 30 calendar days | Not captured |
| Crypto promotion | Golden Crypto: extra 10% on crypto deposits | Fee-free deposits/withdrawals as a VIP perk |
If you want Interac for small bingo deposits, check our Interac casino list — neither bingo pick confirmed it in the pages we read.
Playing Bingo on Mobile
Bingo works well on a phone because the software daubs for you. 22Casino offers an Android APK, a web app (PWA) linked in its footer and an iOS entry on its mobile page; the APK requires allowing installs from unknown sources, which some players will prefer to avoid.
The browser version is the simplest route on any device: no install, same lobby and the same limits you set on your account.
Playing Bingo Safely
Bingo feels gentle, but fast formats and auto-buy features can move money quickly. Use the tools the site gives you, and set them before you play, not after a bad night.
| 🛡️ Tool | 🎱 22Casino | 🪙 BC.Game |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit / gambling limits | Daily, weekly or monthly; 24h wait to raise | Gambling limits |
| Cool-off | Yes | 7-day cooling-off |
| Self-exclusion | Up to 5 years (via live chat or block@22casino.com) | Minimum 6 months, via support |
| Self-assessment | Questionnaire | Self-assessment and budget calculator |
Both sites give you the basics; 22Casino’s 24-hour delay before a limit can be raised is the more useful brake.
Five Habits That Keep Bingo Fun
- Set a session budget in C$ and a time limit, and stop at whichever comes first.
- Cap pre-buys to the games you will actually watch.
- Avoid extra-ball purchases in video bingo, or set a fixed price ceiling.
- Treat jackpots as a bonus, never as the reason to play another game.
- Take a break when the chat starts feeling like the reason you stay.
Where to Get Help
If bingo stops being fun, free and confidential help is a phone call away: ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600, BC Problem Gambling Help Line 1-888-795-6111, Alberta Addiction and Mental Health Helpline 1-866-332-2322, and Quebec Gambling: Help and Referral 1-800-461-0140. Every province’s line is listed on gamblingguidelines.ca and in our responsible gambling guide.
Bingo vs Keno and Slots
Bingo sits between keno and slots: like keno, numbers are drawn at random; like slots, video bingo pays from a fixed return setting. The real difference is the shared prize pool in multiplayer rooms.
Pros:
- Low ticket prices — many games for a small budget
- Shared rooms with chat make it social
- Odds are transparent: your cards vs cards in play
- Several prize tiers per game in 90-ball
Cons:
- Bonus funds often can’t be used on bingo
- Fast formats (30-ball, video bingo) burn budgets quickly
- Extra-ball prompts in video bingo raise the house edge
- Offshore bingo sites are not provincially regulated
