BC Online Casinos at a Glance
In British Columbia, the only online casino authorized by the province is PlayNow.com, run by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC). You must be 19 or older and physically in BC to play there. Offshore casinos also accept BC players, but they are licensed elsewhere and BC does not regulate them.
That is the short answer, and it matters more than any bonus figure on this page. The provincial government states it plainly on its own website: “PlayNow.com is the only legal online gambling site in B.C.” The province’s anti-illegal-gambling police unit goes further and calls unauthorized sites illegal. We quote both sources accurately below, because you deserve the official position before you read anything else.
At the same time, a large number of internationally licensed casinos take sign-ups from BC. Some of them, like TonyBet, even name “Canada (excluding Ontario and Alberta)” in their terms as the territory their licence covers. This guide explains both worlds side by side: what PlayNow offers, what offshore sites are, what can go wrong with them, and how they compare when you read their terms closely.

Is Online Gambling Legal in BC?
Online gambling is legal in BC when it is run by the provincial government, which today means PlayNow.com. The government’s “Gambling in B.C.” page says: “In B.C., gambling is legal only when it’s run by the provincial government.” It adds that BCLC manages all commercial gambling, “including casinos and online gambling.”
Everything outside that circle is, in the province’s view, unauthorized. We’ll come back to what that means for you as a player in the section on offshore sites. For the national picture, our guide on whether online gambling is legal in Canada covers every province.
Who Regulates Gambling in BC Now?
The Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) is BC’s gambling regulator. It launched on April 13, 2026 and replaced the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB), which many older articles still name as the regulator.
The IGCO describes itself as “the provincial regulator for all gambling, horse racing, and responsible gambling programs in British Columbia.” Its oversight covers commercial gambling conducted and managed by BCLC, charitable gambling and the horse-racing industry. It also administers the Gambling Support BC program.
What Changed on April 13, 2026
Two things changed on the same day. The modernized Gaming Control Act came into force, and the GPEB was transitioned into the new IGCO. According to the IGCO’s launch release, the point was to “separate the regulatory and revenue generation functions of gambling.”
In plain terms: the body that sells gambling (BCLC) and the body that polices it (IGCO) are now more clearly separated. If you read a page that says “GPEB regulates online casinos in BC” in the present tense, it was written before April 2026 or was never updated.
Is BC Opening Its Market to Private Sites?
Not according to any official source. We searched the government of BC, its newsroom, the IGCO and BCLC for an announcement about licensing private online casinos, the way Ontario did in 2022 and Alberta did in July 2026. We found none.
Official pages still describe PlayNow.com as the only legal site. In June 2026 the Minister of Public Safety said the IGCO is working “to counter the surge of unregulated sports betting and online gambling advertising in B.C.” That is the opposite of an opening signal. If the situation changes, a regulated list of sites would come from the province itself, and we would update this page.
How BC’s Gambling Law Works
BC’s gambling rules rest on one federal principle and one provincial structure. The Criminal Code allows gambling only when a province conducts and manages it, and BC does that through BCLC, overseen by the IGCO under the Gaming Control Act.
| 🏛️ Body or law | ⚖️ Role in BC | 🌐 Where it publishes |
|---|---|---|
| Criminal Code of Canada, s.207(1)(a) | Allows gambling only when conducted and managed by a province | laws-lois.justice.gc.ca |
| Gaming Control Act | Provincial law; modernized version in force since April 13, 2026 | gov.bc.ca |
| British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) | Conducts and manages commercial gambling, including PlayNow.com | bclc.com, playnow.com |
| Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) | Independent regulator for gambling, horse racing and responsible gambling programs | igcobc.ca |
| Gambling Support BC (GSBC) | Free support program administered by the IGCO | gamblingsupportbc.ca |
| CFSEU-BC Joint Illegal Gaming Investigation Team (JIGIT) | Police unit that investigates illegal gambling | notworththegamble.ca |
Each of these bodies has a distinct job, and mixing them up is the most common error in BC casino guides. BCLC is the operator; the IGCO is the referee.
The Criminal Code and Provincial Control
Section 207(1)(a) of the Criminal Code is the reason Canada has no national online casino licence. It permits lottery schemes only when they are “conducted and managed” by a provincial government, or under its licence.
Each province therefore decides how online gambling works within its borders. Ontario chose a competitive market, Alberta followed in 2026, and BC has kept a single government-run site. None of these choices is federal; all of them come from the same section of the Code.
BCLC: Operator of PlayNow
BCLC is a Crown corporation that “conducts and manages gambling, including lotteries, casinos and online gambling,” in the IGCO’s words. It runs PlayNow.com and manages the province’s land-based casinos.
PlayNow’s own About page puts it this way: “PlayNow.com, owned by BCLC, is the only legal online gambling website in British Columbia. It is regulated by government along with all lottery and casino gambling in our province.”
IGCO: The New Independent Regulator
The IGCO oversees BCLC rather than running games itself. It carries out its work “under B.C.’s Gaming Control Act and related Regulations.” Its remit includes responsible gambling programs, which is why the Gambling Support BC line now sits under it.
In August 2026 the IGCO also said it supports the position of Canada’s securities regulators on prediction markets. That shows the office is watching new forms of betting, not only traditional casinos.
The Gaming Control Act in Plain Terms
The new Act was passed in fall 2022 and took effect on April 13, 2026. A December 2025 government release says it “accounts for online gambling and evolving gaming technologies” and responds to two independent reviews: the German Report and the Cullen Commission.
The government also describes the Act as setting “an updated regulatory framework and new regulations for the gambling industry to prevent illegal activities, such as money laundering and fraud.” New fee categories were created to reflect the growth of PlayNow.com. Nothing in the Act, as described by the province, creates licences for private online casinos.
PlayNow.com Explained
PlayNow.com is BCLC’s online gambling site and the only one the province authorizes. It offers casino games, live casino, sports betting, lottery, keno, instant games, poker and bingo, and it is available only to adults located in BC.
Its footer describes it as “the official gaming site for residents of British Columbia, operated by British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC). Available exclusively to players located in BC.” PlayNow also serves Manitoba and Saskatchewan through separate arrangements, but this guide focuses on BC.
| 🎮 PlayNow section | 📝 What it covers |
|---|---|
| Casino | Online slots and table games, including slots PlayNow says are “only found in your favourite BC Casinos” |
| Live Casino | Dealer-hosted table games streamed in real time |
| Sports | A “full suite of Sports Betting” products |
| Lottery | Provincial and national lottery draws |
| Keno | Keno draws |
| Instant | Instant-win games |
| Poker | Online poker |
| Bingo | Online bingo |
Those eight sections come straight from PlayNow’s main menu as we read it on October 14, 2026. We list what exists, not how good each section is, because we did not open a PlayNow account.
Casino and Live Casino on PlayNow
The casino section is where most players start. PlayNow’s About page highlights “exclusive slot games only found in your favourite BC Casinos,” which is a selling point offshore sites can’t copy: if you enjoy a slot on a BC casino floor, there is a chance the online version sits on PlayNow.
Live Casino is a separate menu item. If dealer-hosted blackjack, roulette or baccarat is your main interest, our live casino guide explains how the games work and what to compare between sites.
Sports Betting on PlayNow
PlayNow pairs its casino with sports betting under one account. For BC residents who like both, that is convenient: one wallet, one set of limits, one self-exclusion program.
Several offshore brands we cover also run sportsbooks (BC.Game and TonyBet, for example). The difference is the regulator behind the betting slip, not the number of markets.
Lottery, Keno and Instant Games
Lottery, keno and instant games are where PlayNow has no real offshore equivalent. These are provincial products, and buying them online through PlayNow is the official route.
If you already buy lottery tickets at a retailer, PlayNow simply moves that habit online under the same provincial operator.
Poker and Bingo
PlayNow lists both poker and bingo in its main navigation. For players who prefer peer-to-peer games, that means a provincially regulated option exists without leaving BC’s framework.
Our online poker guide and online bingo guide explain the formats if you’re new to either.
Who Can Play on PlayNow
You must be 19 or older and located in BC. The province is direct about age: “You must be 19 years or older to gamble in B.C. This includes casinos, lottery tickets, online gambling, and charitable events.”
The location rule is equally strict. PlayNow says it is available “exclusively to players located in BC,” so a BC resident on holiday outside the province cannot expect the BC version to work from there.
PlayNow Strengths and Trade-Offs
PlayNow’s biggest advantage is legal certainty. Its biggest trade-off is that a single operator means a single game library, one set of promotions and no competition on terms.
Pros:
- The only online casino authorized by the province of BC
- Owned by BCLC and overseen by the IGCO
- Slot titles also found in BC land-based casinos
- Casino, live casino, sports, lottery, poker and bingo in one account
- Linked to GameSense and the Game Break self-exclusion program
Cons:
- One operator, so no competition on bonuses or game choice
- Available only while you are physically in BC
- 19+ only, with no exceptions
Pro Tip:
If legal certainty matters most to you, PlayNow is the only option that BC itself stands behind. Everything else on this page is a trade-off you make knowingly.
Offshore Casino Sites and BC Players
Offshore casinos are online casinos licensed outside Canada’s provincial system, for example in Kahnawà:ke, Curaçao or Anjouan. Many accept BC players, but none of them is regulated by BC, and BC’s authorities do not consider them authorized.
Offshore disclosure: the brands reviewed on this page are not regulated by your province. If you live in Ontario, use the sites on our Ontario online casinos page; if you live in Alberta, use the registered sites on our Alberta online casinos page. We do not recommend offshore sites to Ontario or Alberta residents.
What BC Authorities Say About Offshore Sites
The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-BC), through its Joint Illegal Gaming Investigation Team, runs a public site called notworththegamble.ca. Its definition is broad: “Illegal gambling is any gambling (online or in-person) that is not authorized by the Province of British Columbia.”
On online sites specifically, it says they “operate outside BC’s rules and consumer protections and are often hosted outside of Canada. They may look legitimate but operate illegally.” Its summary line is blunt: “PlayNow.com is the only legal gambling site in British Columbia. If it doesn’t say PlayNow, it’s illegal.”
The same police site notes that even “legitimate online gambling sites from elsewhere in Canada advertise in BC, even though they are not legally authorized here.” In other words, an Ontario-regulated brand is not authorized in BC either. You can read the unit’s full wording at notworththegamble.ca.
Why Offshore Sites Still Accept BC Players
International operators hold licences from authorities outside the provincial system and decide for themselves which territories to serve. Many exclude Ontario, and increasingly Alberta, because those provinces now run regulated markets. BC is usually not on their exclusion lists.
TonyBet is the clearest example in our data: its terms say that if you access the site “from Canada (excluding Ontario and Alberta),” services are provided under its Kahnawake licence. The GBL Solutions brands (Need for Spin, Rolling Slots, Winshark, Wild Tokyo) list prohibited countries in their terms, and Canada is not among them.
Kahnawake, Curaçao and Anjouan Licences
Three licensing authorities cover the offshore brands in this guide. Knowing which one sits behind a site tells you where a complaint would go.
| 🏷️ Licensing authority | 🌍 Where it is | 🎰 Brands on this page |
|---|---|---|
| Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission (KGC) | Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke, Quebec | 22Casino (01056), TonyBet (00902), Casino Days (CPA 01054), Luxury Casino (00972) |
| Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB) | Curaçao | Need for Spin, Rolling Slots, Wild Tokyo (OGL/2024/589/0556) |
| Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan | Union of Comoros | BC.Game (ALSI-202410011-FI1) |
The KGC describes itself as the “licensing and regulating authority for gaming activity within and from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke.” It is based in Quebec but is not a provincial regulator, and BC’s position on unauthorized sites applies to its licensees too.
PlayNow vs Offshore Casinos
The clearest way to see the trade-off is to put both options in one table. Bonuses and game counts favour offshore sites; legal standing and dispute routes favour PlayNow.
| 🔍 Factor | 🏛️ PlayNow.com | 🌐 Offshore casinos |
|---|---|---|
| Authorized by BC | Yes, the only one | No |
| Regulator | IGCO (BC) | Licensing body abroad or in Kahnawà:ke |
| Minimum age | 19 | Usually 18 in their terms; BC law sets 19 |
| Welcome bonuses | Not compared here | Large multi-deposit packages with wagering |
| Self-exclusion | Game Break (provincial) | Each site’s own tools |
| Disputes | Provincial framework | Operator, then its licensing body |
| Where your money goes | BCLC, a Crown corporation | Private operator abroad |
The table doesn’t make the decision for you. It shows what you give up and what you gain, which is the honest way to frame a choice the province itself discourages.
The Real Risks for BC Players
The main risk is not a knock on the door. It is that nobody in BC can force an offshore casino to pay you. If a withdrawal is refused, the IGCO has no power over a Curaçao or Anjouan licensee.
Other risks are written into the terms themselves. Need for Spin, Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo can charge up to 10% if you withdraw after betting less than three times your deposit. 22Casino’s terms allow up to 30 calendar days to pay winnings. BC.Game’s sportsbook rules let it suspend withdrawals for up to 31 days if it suspects unfair activity. None of these is a scandal; all of them are reasons to read before you deposit.
Watch out:
A few offshore sites advertise themselves as “VPN friendly.” Using a VPN to hide your location breaks most casinos’ terms and can get winnings voided. Never use one to reach a site that blocks your province.
Disputes: Who Can Help You
With an offshore site, you deal first with the operator and then with its licensing body. BC’s regulator cannot step in.
| 🎰 Brand | 🏷️ Licence | 📨 Where a complaint goes after the operator |
|---|---|---|
| Luxury Casino | KGC 00972 | eCOGRA (named ADR), then complaints@gamingcommission.ca |
| Casino Days | KGC CPA 01054 | Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission |
| TonyBet | KGC 00902 | Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission |
| 22Casino | KGC 01056 | Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission |
| Need for Spin, Rolling Slots, Wild Tokyo | Curaçao GCB OGL/2024/589/0556 | Curaçao Gaming Control Board |
| BC.Game | Anjouan ALSI-202410011-FI1 | Anjouan licensing authority |
Keep screenshots of the cashier, your bonus terms and every chat transcript from day one. A complaint without evidence rarely goes anywhere, whichever body receives it.
Offshore Casinos That Accept BC Players
These eight offshore casinos accept players from Canada without excluding BC in the terms we read: BC.Game (93/100), 22Casino (91), TonyBet (89), Casino Days (88), Need for Spin (86), Rolling Slots (85), Wild Tokyo (82) and Luxury Casino (78). None is regulated by BC.
We built this shortlist from each operator’s own pages, read from a Canadian IP in October 2026: terms and conditions, bonus terms, cashier and payment pages, responsible gambling pages and FAQs. We did not open accounts or move money, so you won’t find claims about how fast a payout landed in our bank. You will find what each casino commits to in writing, which is what matters if something goes wrong.

The ratings are our overall editorial scores; our rating methodology explains how licence, bonus fairness, Canadian payments, games, mobile and support are weighted. Below, each casino gets an honest summary for BC players, with its licence status first.
Best for Crypto Players: BC.Game
BC.Game is a crypto-first casino and sportsbook licensed by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan (licence ALSI-202410011-FI1) and operated by Twocent Technology Limited, a company registered in Belize. Despite the name, it has no connection to British Columbia; “BC” is the brand’s own name, and it also runs a BC token.

From a Canadian IP the site displays balances and wins in CA$, and its footer shows a live BTC-to-CA$ rate. The lobby claims more than 1,000 slots, live tables from Evolution (including exclusive BC.GAME-branded Lightning Roulette and Blackjack tables), a sportsbook and a long list of in-house originals such as Crash, Plinko, Mines, Limbo and Dice. Its Crash game uses a published, provably fair hash chain.

The VIP club is the strongest part of the offer on paper: fee-free fiat and crypto deposits and withdrawals for VIPs, “Instant Lossback,” daily reloads and a dedicated host. The weaker part for Canadians is the promotions page, which listed offers in USD, EUR and even INR rather than CAD when we read it.
Pros:
- Licence number and operating company published on the site
- Provably fair originals with a published verification method
- Casino, live casino, originals and sportsbook on one wallet
- Self-exclusion (6 months minimum) and a 7-day cooling-off option
Cons:
- Licensed in Anjouan, far from any Canadian dispute route
- Promotions quoted in USD, EUR and INR, not CAD
- Sportsbook rules allow withdrawals to be suspended for up to 31 days on suspicion of unfair activity
BC.Game is not regulated by your province, and we don’t recommend it to Ontario or Alberta residents. If a dispute arises, you deal with the operator and its Anjouan licensing body. Our BC.Game review goes deeper, and our crypto casinos guide compares it with other coin-friendly sites.
22Casino: Kahnawake Licence and CAD Offers
22Casino is licensed by the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission under licence No. 01056, issued on May 13, 2026, and operated by Starsten Ltd., incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. That makes it one of the few new-generation brands with a Canadian-based licensing authority, even if not a provincial one.
The welcome package is quoted in Canadian dollars: up to C$2,360 + 150 free spins on the homepage, and up to C$2,250 + 150 free spins on the promotions page (verified on the operator’s site in October 2026). Open the full bonus terms in your account and check the per-deposit split and wagering before you send money.

Beyond the welcome offer, 22Casino runs a 10% extra on crypto deposits (“Golden Crypto”), a 50% Wednesday bonus and VIP cashback. Support is 24/7/365 by live chat, and responsible gambling tools include daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits and self-exclusion for up to five years.
Pros:
- Kahnawake licence 01056 with the operating company named
- Welcome package quoted in CAD
- 24/7/365 live chat
- Deposit limits with a 24-hour wait before increases take effect
Cons:
- Terms allow up to 30 calendar days to pay winnings
- Some promotions are quoted in EUR
- Android app is installed as an APK from outside Google Play
22Casino is licensed by Kahnawake, not by a Canadian provincial regulator, and is not part of BC’s authorized offer. More detail is in our 22Casino review.
- 24/7/365 live chat support
- 10% extra on crypto deposits
- Self-exclusion up to 5 years
TonyBet: The Only Pick That Names BC’s Status
TonyBet is the one brand here whose terms spell out its Canadian coverage: players accessing from “Canada (excluding Ontario and Alberta)” are served under its Kahnawake licence No. 00902. The operator is Tonybet OÜ in Estonia, which traces its history to 2003.
The casino welcome offer is advertised at up to C$2,500 + 250 free spins, with the first deposit at 100% up to C$1,000 + 100 free spins (verified on the operator’s site in October 2026). The general bonus terms set 30x wagering for welcome bonuses, a C$10 maximum bet with a bonus, a C$20 minimum deposit and a 14-day expiry.

Payments are transparent by offshore standards. The FAQ targets e-wallet withdrawals (Skrill, Neteller) within 12 hours, crypto usually under 24 hours, and cards up to 7 business days. TonyBet charges no processing fee on deposits or bank wire withdrawals, though dormant accounts pay C$7 a month.
Pros:
- Terms explicitly cover Canada outside Ontario and Alberta
- 30x wagering on welcome bonuses, lower than most offshore packages
- VIP cashback from 5% up to 10% (max C$1,500) with 10x wagering
- Deposit and loss limits, time-out and self-exclusion from 6 months to 3 years
Cons:
- Table, crash and live dealer games don’t count towards bonus wagering
- Weekly Unlock bonus carries 75x wagering
- C$7 monthly fee on dormant accounts
TonyBet’s footer shows 19+, which matches BC’s legal age. It is still not regulated by BC. Read our full TonyBet review for the sportsbook and VIP details.
- Kahnawake licence No. 00902
- VIP cashback up to 10%
- Sportsbook and Omaha poker
Best for Interac: Casino Days
Casino Days is licensed by the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission (Client Provider Authorization 01054) and operated by Indigo Nova Limited, registered in Cyprus. Its /ca site is explicitly built for Canada, while Ontario players are routed to a separate AGCO-regulated site.
The welcome offer is 100% up to C$2,000 + 100 free spins on Gates of Casino Days Super Scatter (C$0.20 per spin), verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. The terms are clear: 35x the bonus only, not deposit plus bonus; C$20 minimum deposit; C$10 maximum bet; and seven days to finish wagering. You must claim it in “Your Rewards” before depositing.

Here’s what 35x on the bonus means in practice. Deposit C$200, receive C$200 in bonus, and you need C$7,000 in slot bets (35 × C$200) within seven days. That’s C$1,000 a day. It suits a regular slot player; a casual weekend player will likely run out of time.
Casino Days is also the strongest pick for Canadian banking: Interac and Interac e-Transfer for deposits and withdrawals from C$10, plus iDebit, Payz, AstroPay, Jeton, Flexepin (deposit only) and six cryptocurrencies. It has native iOS and Android apps, 6,500+ games and more than 1,000 live tables.
Pros:
- Interac both ways from C$10
- 35x wagering on the bonus only
- Native iOS and Android apps
- Deposit, loss and wager limits in the account
Cons:
- Only seven days to complete wagering
- Default withdrawal caps of EUR 5,000 a day for non-VIPs
- Cards, Flexepin and CashtoCode are deposit-only
Casino Days is licensed by Kahnawake, not by BC; Ontario players use its separate AGCO site, not this one. Full detail in our Casino Days review.
- Interac Payouts From C$10
- 6,500+ Games, 1,000+ Live
- iOS and Android Apps
Need for Spin: Big Package, Strict Limits
Need for Spin is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board (OGL/2024/589/0556) and operated by GBL Solutions N.V., which also runs Rolling Slots, Winshark and Wild Tokyo. It launched in 2022 and keeps CAD accounts with offers in C$.
The Welcome Pack is advertised at 250% up to C$4,500 + 550 free spins; the three deposit offers listed on the promotions page add up to C$4,100 + 500 free spins (100% up to C$1,200 + 200 FS, 80% up to C$1,500 + 150 FS, 70% up to C$1,400 + 150 FS), verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. The max bet with a bonus is C$7, bonuses must be activated within 48 hours and last five days.

The fine print matters most at withdrawal time. New players (loyalty levels 1–10) can withdraw at most C$750 a day and C$10,500 a month. Withdrawals are processed Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 GMT+3, which is late night to early morning in Vancouver. And if you withdraw after wagering less than 3x your deposit, the casino can charge up to 10%.
Pros:
- CAD accounts and offers in C$
- Daily cashback 5% and weekly cashback 15% up to C$500
- Low C$15 minimum withdrawal by bank transfer
- Reality check reminders at 60, 90 or 180 minutes
Cons:
- C$750 daily withdrawal cap at entry levels
- Up to 10% fee if you wager less than 3x your deposit
- Live dealer and table games can’t be played with an active bonus
Need for Spin is licensed in Curaçao and is not regulated by BC. See our Need for Spin review.
Rolling Slots: Largest Game Library
Rolling Slots shares Need for Spin’s licence (Curaçao GCB OGL/2024/589/0556) and operator. It dates from 2021 and claims more than 15,000 games, the largest library in this shortlist.
The headline is 300% up to C$5,800 + 750 free spins over four deposits; the four deposit cards on the site add up to C$5,300 + 700 free spins, with the first at 100% up to C$1,100 + 250 FS (verified on the operator’s site in October 2026). The C$7 max bet, 48-hour activation and five-day validity are the same as its sister sites.

Rolling Slots names more payment methods than Need for Spin: Visa, Mastercard, Neteller and Skrill for deposits, bank transfer for withdrawals from C$15 and crypto withdrawals from C$80. Entry-level limits are C$750 a day and C$15,000 a month.

Rolling Slots is licensed in Curaçao, not by BC. Our Rolling Slots review covers the loyalty ladder in detail.
- 15,000+ games claimed
- Daily cashback 5%, VIP 7%
- 24/7 live chat and email
Wild Tokyo: Generous Weekly Cashback
Wild Tokyo is another GBL Solutions brand under the same Curaçao licence. Its old domain now redirects to wildtokyocasino.com, which serves a Canadian /ca version with CAD accounts.
The Welcome Pack is advertised at 250% up to C$4,500 + 700 free spins; the three deposit offers on the promotions page total C$3,400 + 600 free spins (verified on the operator’s site in October 2026). Where Wild Tokyo stands out is the weekly cashback: 20% up to C$450, the highest weekly rate among the GBL sites.

Payments listed include Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill and Bitcoin for deposits, and bank transfer for withdrawals from C$15. Entry-level limits are C$750 a day and C$12,000 a month, and the FAQ describes withdrawals taking from 24–48 hours up to five banking days.
Pros:
- Weekly cashback 20% up to C$450
- Easy Start bonus of 30 free spins + 3 coins from C$15
- Two-factor authentication available

- Dormant-account fee of EUR 10 a month after six months
Wild Tokyo is licensed in Curaçao, not by BC. See our Wild Tokyo review.
Luxury Casino: Long Track Record, Heavy Wagering
Luxury Casino is part of the Casino Rewards group, licensed by the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission (licence 00972) and managed by Fresh Horizons Limited in the British Virgin Islands. It names eCOGRA as its dispute-resolution body, which gives you a step between the casino and the regulator.
The welcome package spreads up to C$1,000 over five deposits, starting with 100% up to C$150 (verified on the operator’s site in October 2026). The catch is the wagering: 200x on the first and second deposit bonuses, then 30x from the third. The terms give their own example: a C$100 bonus needs about C$20,000 in slot bets.

Banking is built for Canada: Interac deposits, and withdrawals by CAD EFT/eCheck (2–3 working days, no fee), Visa OCT or Skrill. Withdrawals wait 48 hours in pending, the minimum is C$50, and big winners can be capped at C$4,000 a week. The site is 19+, which matches BC’s legal age.
Pros:
- Kahnawake licence with eCOGRA dispute resolution
- Interac deposits and fee-free CAD EFT withdrawals
- 19+ age rule matches BC law
- Cooling-off periods from 24 hours to 6 weeks
Cons:
- 200x wagering on the first two deposit bonuses
- 48-hour pending period on withdrawals
- C$4,000 weekly cap for players who win well above their deposits
Luxury Casino is licensed by Kahnawake, not by a Canadian provincial regulator; Ontario players have a separate AGCO site. Read the Luxury Casino review.
- Kahnawake licence 00972
- Free CAD EFT withdrawals
- 24/7 live chat and email
How Our BC Picks Compare
Compared on their written terms, TonyBet and Casino Days have the friendliest bonus rules (30x and 35x), Casino Days has the best Canadian banking, and the GBL Solutions sites offer the biggest packages but the tightest withdrawal caps.
A headline bonus number tells you very little. What decides whether a bonus is worth taking is the wagering multiplier, what it applies to, the maximum bet, the time limit and the cap on withdrawals afterwards. The tables below put those terms side by side.
Bonus Terms Side by Side
All figures were verified on each operator’s site in October 2026. Where a cell says “see terms,” the figure wasn’t on the pages we read, so check it in the cashier before you opt in.
| 🎰 Casino | 🔁 Wagering | 🎯 Applies to | 💵 Max bet with bonus | ⏳ Time limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TonyBet | 30x (welcome bonuses) | See terms | C$10 | 14 days |
| Casino Days | 35x | Bonus only | C$10 | 7 days |
| Luxury Casino | 200x (deposits 1–2), 30x (from deposit 3) | Bonus amount | Bets of 25%+ of the bonus = irregular play | 60 days from registration |
| Need for Spin | See terms | See terms | C$7 | Activate in 48h, then 5 days |
| Rolling Slots | See terms | Bonus amount | C$7 | Activate in 48h, then 5 days |
| Wild Tokyo | See terms (daily bonuses x50) | See terms | C$7 | Activate in 48h, then 5 days |
| 22Casino | See terms | See terms | See terms | See terms |
The pattern is clear: Casino Days and TonyBet publish the most complete welcome terms, which is a point in their favour regardless of the multiplier. Our guide to wagering requirements explains how to calculate any offer yourself.
Three Worked Bonus Examples
Numbers make the differences concrete. Here is what a C$100 bonus costs you in wagering at three of our picks.
| 🎰 Casino | 💰 Bonus | 🔁 Rule | 🎲 Total bets needed | 📅 Per day to finish in time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TonyBet | C$100 | 30x | C$3,000 | About C$215 over 14 days |
| Casino Days | C$100 | 35x bonus only | C$3,500 | C$500 over 7 days |
| Luxury Casino | C$100 (first deposit) | 200x | C$20,000 | About C$333 over 60 days |
Luxury Casino’s long deadline softens its 200x requirement, but C$20,000 in slot bets on a C$100 bonus is still a lot of spinning. Casino Days asks for the least total betting per dollar of bonus after TonyBet, but packs it into one week.
Pro Tip:
If you only play a few evenings a month, skip the welcome bonus and play with cash. Your withdrawals stay simple, you avoid max-bet traps, and a no-bonus balance can be cashed out whenever you like. Our no-wagering casinos page lists offers without playthrough.
Withdrawal Limits and Minimums
Withdrawal caps matter most if you win big. The GBL Solutions sites cap entry-level players at C$750 a day, while Casino Days uses euro-based caps and Luxury Casino applies a weekly cap to big winners.
| 🎰 Casino | ⬇️ Minimum withdrawal | 📈 Limits for new players | ⏱️ Timing in the terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Casino Days | C$10 (Interac) | EUR 5,000/day, 20,000/week, 50,000/month (removed for VIPs) | Most requests in 5 minutes per homepage; T&C up to 5 business days |
| TonyBet | Set per method | See terms | E-wallets within 12h; crypto under 24h; cards up to 7 business days |
| Need for Spin | C$15 bank / C$30 other / C$80 crypto | C$750/day, C$10,500/month | Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 GMT+3 |
| Rolling Slots | C$15 bank / C$30 other / C$80 crypto | C$750/day, C$15,000/month | Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 GMT+3 |
| Wild Tokyo | C$15 bank / C$30 other / C$80 crypto | C$750/day, C$12,000/month | 24–48h up to 5 banking days |
| Luxury Casino | C$50 (wire C$300) | C$4,000/week for big winners | 48h pending, then 2–3 working days by CAD EFT |
| 22Casino | See terms | See terms | Up to 30 calendar days in T&C |
A C$6,000 win shows why this table matters. At Need for Spin, the C$750 daily cap means at least eight separate days of withdrawals at entry level. At Casino Days, because a euro is worth more than a Canadian dollar, the same amount fits inside the EUR 5,000 default daily limit. For more on payout speed, see our fast withdrawal casinos guide.
Which Site Suits Which Player
Different BC players need different things. Here is how the shortlist maps to common profiles.
Interac Users
Casino Days lists Interac and Interac e-Transfer both ways from C$10, plus iDebit. Luxury Casino accepts Interac deposits and pays out by CAD EFT.
Crypto Players
BC.Game is crypto-first with provably fair originals. Casino Days also pays out in six coins, with crypto limits up to C$50,000.
Bonus Hunters
TonyBet’s 30x and Casino Days’ 35x on the bonus only are the most realistic welcome terms we found. Read the deadlines before opting in.
Big Library Fans
Rolling Slots claims 15,000+ games and Need for Spin 8,000+. Expect daily withdrawal caps at entry level.
Sports and Casino
TonyBet and BC.Game both run a sportsbook next to the casino, each with its own bonus terms.
Cautious Beginners
PlayNow is BC’s authorized site. If you choose offshore, start with a small deposit and no bonus.
Payments for BC Players
For BC players at offshore sites, the most useful Canadian methods are Interac (confirmed at Casino Days and Luxury Casino), iDebit (Casino Days) and e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller (TonyBet, Rolling Slots, Wild Tokyo). Crypto is available at BC.Game, Casino Days, TonyBet and the GBL sites.
Canadian banks and offshore cashiers don’t always get along, so confirm the method works for withdrawals, not just deposits, before you fund an account. A method that only works one way forces you onto a slower route when you cash out.

The screenshot above shows Casino Days’ payments page as seen from Canada, with method-by-method limits. It is the most complete public cashier table in our shortlist, which is why it anchors this section.
| 🎰 Casino | 🇨🇦 Interac | 🏦 iDebit | 💳 Visa / Mastercard | 👛 E-wallets | ₿ Crypto |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Casino Days | Deposit and withdrawal | Deposit and withdrawal | Deposit only | Payz, AstroPay, Jeton | BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC, DOGE, USDT |
| Luxury Casino | Deposit | — | Deposit; Visa OCT withdrawal | Skrill (withdrawal) | — |
| TonyBet | — | — | Deposit and withdrawal | Skrill, Neteller | Yes (coins not listed) |
| Rolling Slots | — | — | Deposit | Skrill, Neteller (deposit) | Withdrawal from C$80 |
| Wild Tokyo | — | — | Deposit | Skrill, Neteller (deposit) | Bitcoin |
| BC.Game | — | — | — | — | BTC and BC token |
| 22Casino | — | — | — | — | Yes (10% Golden Crypto bonus) |
A dash means the method wasn’t named on the pages we read, not that it’s refused. Logged-in cashiers often show more options than public pages, so check yours after registering and before depositing.
Interac e-Transfer
Interac e-Transfer is the method most Canadians already use, which makes it the default choice where available. Money moves from your bank account using your online banking login, with no card details shared with the casino.
At Casino Days, Interac e-Transfer runs from C$10 to C$9,999 each way. The homepage says e-Transfers “typically land in your account in under 30 minutes,” while its Interac page says one to three business days and the T&C allow five business days for uncontested withdrawals. Plan for the slower figure. Our Interac casinos guide covers more options.
iDebit and Instadebit
iDebit links your Canadian bank account to the casino through an intermediary. At Casino Days, iDebit deposits run from C$10 to C$9,500 and withdrawals from C$25 to C$3,000.
Instadebit works in a similar way but wasn’t in Casino Days’ payment table. Our Instadebit and iDebit guide explains the difference and lists sites that take both.
Visa and Mastercard
Cards are the easiest way to deposit and the hardest way to withdraw. At Casino Days they’re deposit-only. TonyBet allows card withdrawals but says they can take up to seven business days.
Some Canadian banks also block gambling transactions on credit cards, so a declined deposit may come from your bank rather than the casino. Our credit card casinos guide explains why.
E-Wallets: Skrill, Neteller, Payz and More
E-wallets are often the fastest offshore payout route. TonyBet’s FAQ targets e-wallet withdrawals within 12 hours, compared with up to seven business days for cards.
Casino Days lists Payz (C$10 to C$20,000 deposits, 2-minute processing), AstroPay and Jeton. Luxury Casino lists Skrill as a Canadian withdrawal method, with e-wallet payouts in one to three working days. See our Skrill casinos and Payz casinos pages for each wallet.
Flexepin and Prepaid Vouchers
Flexepin is a prepaid voucher with a 16-digit code that you buy with cash or online, then use to top up an account. Casino Days accepts Flexepin deposits from C$15 to C$1,500; you cannot withdraw to it there.
Flexepin’s own FAQ lists retailer convenience fees on Canadian vouchers, which add to the real cost of every deposit.
| 🎟️ Flexepin voucher (CAD) | 🧾 Retailer convenience fee | 📊 Fee as % of voucher |
|---|---|---|
| C$20 | C$1.95 | 9.8% |
| C$50 | C$3.95 | 7.9% |
| C$100 | C$4.95 | 5.0% |
| C$150 | C$5.95 | 4.0% |
| C$250 | C$7.95 | 3.2% |
| C$300 | C$11.95 | 4.0% |
| C$500 | C$15.95 | 3.2% |
Small vouchers are the most expensive per dollar: a C$20 Flexepin costs almost 10% extra. If you use vouchers, buy fewer, larger ones. More detail is in our Flexepin casinos guide.
Crypto Deposits and Withdrawals
Crypto avoids bank blocks and often pays out quickly, but it adds exchange-rate risk and network fees. Casino Days lists crypto withdrawals in about six minutes, with limits up to C$50,000; TonyBet says crypto payouts usually take under 24 hours.
BC.Game is built around crypto and shows a BTC-to-CA$ rate in its footer. The GBL Solutions sites set a C$80 minimum on crypto withdrawals, much higher than their C$15 bank-transfer minimum. Our crypto casinos guide covers wallets and fees.
Fees and Costs to Watch
The fee rarely sits on the deposit. It shows up at withdrawal or when your account goes quiet.
- Low-play withdrawal fee: Need for Spin, Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo can charge up to 10% if your real-money bets total less than 3x your deposit.
- Wire fees: Luxury Casino charges C$50 on bank wire withdrawals (C$100 above C$3,000); its CAD EFT withdrawals are free.
- Currency conversion: Luxury Casino adds 2.5% when a withdrawal goes out in a different currency from your account.
- Dormant accounts: TonyBet charges C$7 a month; the GBL sites charge EUR 10 a month after six months of inactivity.
- Voucher fees: Flexepin retailer fees range from C$1.95 to C$15.95 per voucher.
Any of these can turn a small win into a small loss. The fix is simple: play through your deposit at least three times before withdrawing at GBL sites, and close accounts you no longer use.
Verification Before Your First Withdrawal
Every casino on our list can ask for ID before paying you, and most will do so at your first withdrawal. Prepare a government photo ID, a proof of address under three months old and proof that you own the payment method.
Verification (KYC, “know your customer”) is an anti-money-laundering step, not a sign that something is wrong. The problem is timing: if you start it only after a big win, you may wait days for an answer. Upload documents right after registering, while there is nothing to hold up.
| 🎰 Casino | 🪪 What the terms ask for | ⏱️ Deadlines and review times |
|---|---|---|
| Casino Days | Government photo ID, proof of address within 3 months, proof of payment method | Before the first withdrawal |
| TonyBet | Documents at first withdrawal; possibly a selfie holding ID or phone identification | 7 calendar days to provide them, or the withdrawal is rejected |
| 22Casino | Passport or ID card, utility bill under 3 months, possibly source of funds or notarized copies | Ongoing checks by risk level |
| Need for Spin | ID, card photo, e-wallet screenshot, utility bill, selfie; video possible | 30 days to send; review up to 3 business days |
| Rolling Slots | Colour ID, card copy, e-wallet screenshot, utility bill, selfie; video possible | 30 days to send; review up to 72 hours |
| Wild Tokyo | Colour ID, utility bill, e-wallet screenshot, possibly selfie and video call | 30 days; FAQ says about 24h, T&C up to 72h |
| Luxury Casino | ID, proof of ownership of payment accounts, possibly notarized copies | Withdrawals may wait until verification is complete |
Notice the deadlines. At the GBL Solutions sites, documents not sent within 30 days can lead to confiscated winnings and a closed account. At TonyBet, seven days without documents means the withdrawal is rejected and the money returns to your balance.
What Documents to Prepare
Have these ready as clear, uncropped colour photos or scans before you deposit anywhere:
- Photo ID: a valid passport or BC driver’s licence, all four corners visible.
- Proof of address: a utility bill or bank statement dated within the last three months, showing the same name and address as your account.
- Proof of payment: a photo of your card (middle digits covered where the casino allows it), a bank statement for Interac, or a screenshot of your e-wallet profile.
- Selfie with ID: some sites ask for it; take it in good light with the ID readable.
- Source of funds: for larger amounts, a recent pay stub or bank statement may be requested.
The name on every document must match the name on your casino account exactly. A nickname or a missing middle name is a common reason for a rejected upload.
Why Verification Can Stall a Payout
Delays usually come from three things: documents that don’t match, a payment method in someone else’s name, or a request sent outside the casino’s office hours. The GBL Solutions sites review KYC only Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 GMT+3, so a Friday-evening upload from Vancouver may wait until Monday.
Never deposit with a partner’s card or e-wallet. Casinos generally require the payment method to belong to the account holder, and the GBL Solutions sites ask for card copies and e-wallet screenshots precisely to check this.
How to Check a Casino Site Before You Sign Up
You can check any casino in about ten minutes: find the licence and company name in the footer, confirm the licence, read the restricted-territories clause, then read the bonus and withdrawal terms. If any step fails, don’t deposit.
- Scroll to the footer. A serious operator names its company and licence number. 22Casino, TonyBet, Casino Days, Luxury Casino, the GBL Solutions sites and BC.Game all do.
- Check the licence with the issuer. Kahnawake-licensed sites usually link to a certificate page on gamingcommission.ca. Casino Days and the Casino Rewards sites do.
- Read the restricted territories. Look for Canada, Ontario and Alberta. If you live in Ontario or Alberta, stop here and use your province’s regulated sites.
- Find the age rule. BC law sets 19. Some offshore terms say 18; you still need to be 19 in BC.
- Open the bonus terms. Note the wagering, what it applies to, the max bet, the expiry and excluded games.
- Open the withdrawal terms. Note the minimum, daily and monthly caps, pending periods and fees.
- Check the responsible gambling page. Look for deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion you can set yourself.
- Ask support a question. A simple question about withdrawal limits tells you how fast and how clearly they answer.
This is the same checklist we used to build the shortlist above. Our safe online casinos guide goes deeper into each step.
| 🔎 What to check | 📍 Where to find it | ✅ What good looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Operator name | Footer, About page, T&C | Company name plus registration number |
| Licence | Footer, T&C opening clause | Issuer and licence number, ideally with a certificate link |
| Restricted territories | T&C | A clear list; your province not excluded |
| Age | Footer, T&C | 19+ for BC players |
| Wagering | Bonus terms | Stated multiplier and base (bonus or bonus + deposit) |
| Withdrawal caps | T&C, FAQ, cashier | Caps you can live with; no surprise fees |
| Dispute route | T&C | Named ADR body or regulator contact |
| Responsible gambling | RG page, account settings | Self-service limits and self-exclusion |
If a site fails two or more of these rows, walk away. There are always other options, including PlayNow.
Verify the Licence Number
A licence number on its own proves little; anyone can type one into a footer. What you want is a match between the footer, the T&C and the issuer’s own record.
For example, Casino Days states in clause 1.2 of its terms that it is “regulated and authorised by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, pursuant to Client Provider Authorization 01054,” and its footer links to a certificate on certificates.gamingcommission.ca. That consistency is what you are looking for.
Read the Restricted Territories Clause
This clause tells you whether the casino considers your location acceptable. TonyBet’s clause 1.9.2 is a model of clarity: it covers “Canada (excluding Ontario and Alberta).” Casino Days lists the USA, Netherlands, France and others, but not Canada.
If a site’s terms don’t mention Canada at all, that isn’t automatic permission. It means you are relying on the operator’s general acceptance, and you should be extra careful with the rest of the checklist.
Read the Bonus Terms Before Depositing
Opting into a bonus changes what you can do with your own money. At Casino Days, you must claim the bonus in “Your Rewards” before depositing; at the GBL sites, live dealer and table games are off-limits while a bonus is active.
Ask three questions before you opt in: how much must I bet in total, by when, and what is the most I can bet per spin? If the answers don’t fit how you play, decline the bonus. Our casino bonus guide walks through the maths.
Red Flags to Walk Away From
Some warning signs are reason enough to close the tab:
- No company name or licence anywhere on the site.
- Marketing that invites you to use a VPN to get around location blocks.
- Bonus terms that can’t be found anywhere on the site.
- Withdrawal caps or fees that only appear after you deposit.
- Support that won’t answer a straight question about limits or licensing.
- Pressure tactics such as countdown timers on deposit bonuses.
Our shortlist has some inconsistencies too, which we flag openly: 22Casino shows C$2,360 on its homepage and C$2,250 on its promotions page, and the GBL sites’ headline packages are larger than the sum of their listed deposit offers. Neither is a red flag on its own, but both are reasons to read the terms that apply to you.
Casino Games BC Players Can Expect
Offshore sites that accept BC players offer slots, live dealer tables, classic table games and fast crash or instant games. Libraries range from about 1,000 slots (BC.Game) to 15,000+ games (Rolling Slots).
The number matters less than what’s in it. A site with 6,500 games from major studios can serve you better than one with 15,000 from small providers you’ve never heard of. Check that the games you actually play are there before you deposit.
Online Slots
Slots are the core of every site here and the only games that count 100% towards most bonus wagering. Casino Days names studios such as Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, NetEnt, Nolimit City and Hacksaw Gaming; the GBL sites lean on Play’n GO, Hacksaw, BGaming and many smaller providers.
Several brands also have exclusives: Casino Days has “Gates of Casino Days Super Scatter,” Need for Spin has “Need For Spin Super Elves,” and Wild Tokyo a branded Zeus Lightning Blaze. Our online slots guide and Megaways slots page explain volatility and mechanics.
Live Dealer Games
Live casino is where offshore sites put most of their effort. Casino Days advertises more than 1,000 live tables, including 60+ live roulette tables with stakes from C$0.05 to C$2,000, and BC.Game runs exclusive Evolution tables under its own brand.

The Wild Tokyo live lobby above is typical of the GBL Solutions sites: game shows, roulette and blackjack in one grid. One limitation applies across those sites: you can’t play live dealer games while a bonus is active.
Table Games and Video Poker
RNG blackjack, roulette and baccarat run on every site, often with demo modes so you can learn the rules without money. At Casino Days, non-live table games count only 10% towards wagering; at the GBL sites roulette counts 5% and other table games 0%.
If table games are your main interest, play them with cash rather than a bonus. Our online blackjack and online roulette guides explain rules and house edges.
Crash and Instant-Win Games
Crash games such as Aviator multiply your stake until the round “crashes,” and you must cash out before it does. They are fast, which makes them easy to overplay.

BC.Game builds its own originals (Crash, Limbo, Plinko, Mines, Dice) with a published, provably fair system. Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo carry third-party titles such as Aviator, Aviamasters and Chicken Road 2.0. At Casino Days, crash and mine games can’t be played with bonus funds. More in our crash games guide.
Playing on Mobile in BC
All eight sites work in a mobile browser. Casino Days is the only one with native apps in both the App Store and Google Play; 22Casino offers an Android APK and a web app, and the GBL Solutions sites offer installable web apps.
| 🎰 Casino | 🍎 iOS | 🤖 Android | 🌐 Browser / web app |
|---|---|---|---|
| Casino Days | App Store app | Google Play app | Yes |
| 22Casino | Listed on mobile page | APK download | Web app (PWA) |
| Need for Spin | Add to Home Screen (Safari) | Install via Chrome | Yes |
| Rolling Slots | Add to Home Screen (Safari) | Install via Chrome | Yes, also Windows |
| Wild Tokyo | Add to Home Screen (Safari) | Install via Chrome | Yes |
| BC.Game | App rewards page in menu | App rewards page in menu | Mobile-ready site |
| TonyBet | Browser | Browser | Yes |
| Luxury Casino | Browser | Browser | Yes; Windows download also offered |
A native app isn’t automatically better. A web app installed from your browser updates itself and doesn’t need store approval; a store app is easier to find and to delete. Choose based on how you like to manage your phone.

The Need for Spin mobile site above shows how the GBL sites adapt the lobby to a phone screen. If you’re installing 22Casino’s Android APK, note that it requires allowing installs from unknown sources, which some players prefer not to enable. Our mobile casinos guide compares more apps.
Pro Tip:
Set your deposit limit on your phone the same day you install a casino app. Mobile play is quick and private, which is exactly why limits matter more there.
Responsible Gambling in BC
BC’s support system is free and available 24/7: call the Gambling Support Line at 1-888-795-6111, talk to a GameSense advisor, or enrol in Game Break self-exclusion for 6 months to 3 years. These provincial programs cover PlayNow and BC casinos, not offshore sites.
That last point matters if you play offshore. Game Break will not stop you opening an account at a Curaçao or Kahnawake site. For those, you need each casino’s own tools, plus device-level blocking software if you want a hard stop.
| 🛟 Resource | 📞 How to reach it | 🧭 What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Gambling Support Line (Gambling Support BC) | 1-888-795-6111, toll-free, 24/7 | Free support for anyone affected by gambling harm, administered by the IGCO |
| GameSense advisor (PlayNow / BCLC) | 1-866-815-0222; live chat 24/7; phone daily 7am–midnight PST | Advice on safer play; advisors in every BC casino |
| Game Break | Through BCLC | Voluntary self-exclusion for 6 months, 1, 2 or 3 years |
| Online | gamblingsupportbc.ca | Information on Gambling Support BC services |
The phone numbers above come from the BC government’s Gambling Support BC page and from PlayNow’s footer, read on October 14, 2026. The government’s Gambling in B.C. page links to the full support program.
Gambling Support BC
Gambling Support BC is the province’s free support program, now administered by the IGCO. The government describes “a 24-hour, toll-free Gambling Support Line: 1-888-795-6111.” You may still see the older name, BC Problem Gambling Help Line; it’s the same number.
In June 2026 the IGCO said the program had launched a new integrated service model in partnership with TELUS Health. The same release reported that 19% of BC adults now fall into moderate- to high-risk gambling categories, a significant increase.
GameSense
GameSense is BCLC’s responsible gambling program. According to the province, “in every casino in British Columbia, a GameSense Advisor is available to those experiencing harm from gambling.”
For online players, PlayNow’s footer gives the Customer Support Center number, 1-866-815-0222, for anyone who needs to speak with a GameSense advisor. BCLC’s support page lists live chat 24/7 and phone support daily from 7am to midnight PST.
Game Break Self-Exclusion
Game Break is BCLC’s voluntary self-exclusion program, relaunched under that name on January 23, 2023. You can choose a term of 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 3 years, and you can extend it.
When the term ends, anyone who wants to return must complete an online course called Game Plan. The province requires casinos, bingo halls and PlayNow.com to offer “a free, voluntary self-exclusion program.” Game Break covers BCLC’s venues and PlayNow; it does not reach offshore sites.
Self-Exclusion at Offshore Sites
Each offshore casino runs its own tools, and none of them is linked to Game Break. If you self-exclude at one, the others won’t know.
| 🎰 Casino | 🧰 Limits | ⏸️ Breaks | 🚫 Self-exclusion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Casino Days | Deposit, loss and wager limits | Cooling-off periods | Minimum 6 months, via support |
| TonyBet | Deposit and loss limits | Time-out; 48h wait on limit increases | 6 months to 3 years; KGC self-exclusion |
| 22Casino | Daily, weekly, monthly deposit limits | Cool-off period | Up to 5 years |
| Luxury Casino | Deposit limits via support | 24 hours to 6 weeks | 6 months; link to KGC program |
| Need for Spin | Personal limits | Take a Break (1 day, 3 days, 1 week); reality check | By email request |
| Rolling Slots | Personal limits | Take a Break; reality check 60/90/180 min | By email request |
| Wild Tokyo | Personal limits | Take a Break; reality check 60/90/180 min | By email request |
| BC.Game | Gambling limits; budget calculator | 7-day cooling-off | Minimum 6 months, via support |
Two Kahnawake-licensed brands, TonyBet and Luxury Casino, also point to the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission’s own self-exclusion program, which covers more than one site at a time.
Watch out:
Self-excluding at one offshore casino may not stop you at its sister sites. If you need a full break, use blocking software on every device and call 1-888-795-6111.
Signs It’s Time to Take a Break
You don’t need a diagnosis to step back. These are common signals worth acting on early:
- Chasing losses with bigger or more frequent deposits.
- Hiding how much you play from people close to you.
- Depositing money meant for bills, rent or savings.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut back.
- Opening accounts at new sites after hitting a limit elsewhere.
If any of these sound familiar, the Gambling Support Line is free and confidential. Our responsible gambling guide lists tools and helplines for every province.
Do BC Players Pay Tax on Casino Winnings?
For recreational players, no. The Canada Revenue Agency generally treats casual gambling winnings as windfalls, not income, so a jackpot from a weekend slot session isn’t taxed. Lottery winnings are not taxable either unless they count as income from employment, a business or property.
There are two exceptions to keep in mind. People who gamble as a business, such as organised professional poker players, may be taxed on their winnings. And any interest you earn on winnings once they sit in a savings account is taxable like any other interest.
The rules are federal, so they’re the same whether you win at PlayNow or at an offshore site. Keep transaction records anyway: they help if you ever need to show where a large deposit into your bank came from.
Do Offshore Casinos Withhold Tax?
None of the terms we read for our shortlist describe withholding Canadian tax from winnings. What does reduce a payout is fees and caps: the GBL sites’ 10% low-play fee, Luxury Casino’s wire charges and conversion fee, and the weekly or daily withdrawal limits described above.
BC Compared With Other Provinces
BC has kept a single government-run online casino, while Ontario (2022) and Alberta (2026) opened regulated markets for private operators. Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, like BC, rely on government sites.
| 🗺️ Province | 🏛️ Online model | 🎂 Minimum age | 📞 Helpline |
|---|---|---|---|
| British Columbia | PlayNow.com (BCLC); IGCO regulates | 19 | 1-888-795-6111 |
| Ontario | Regulated market since April 4, 2022 (AGCO and iGaming Ontario) | 19 | ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600 |
| Alberta | Regulated market since July 13, 2026 (AGLC and AiGC) | 18 | 1-866-332-2322 |
| Quebec | lotoquebec.com (Loto-Québec) | 18 | 1-800-461-0140 |
| Saskatchewan | PlayNow.com (since 2022) | 19 | 1-800-306-6789 |
| Manitoba | PlayNow.com with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries | 18 | 1-800-463-1554 |
| Atlantic provinces | Atlantic Lottery Corporation | 19 | Varies by province |
The table shows that BC is not unusual in keeping a government site; it is Ontario and Alberta that broke from the traditional model. Our guides to Quebec online casinos and the Ontario regulated market cover those provinces in detail.
What Ontario and Alberta Did Differently
Ontario’s AGCO registers private operators and iGaming Ontario conducts and manages the market, with a public list of regulated sites. Alberta followed on July 13, 2026, with AGLC as regulator and the Alberta iGaming Corporation managing the market.
Both provinces also restrict bonus advertising. In Ontario, public advertising of inducements and bonuses is prohibited under the AGCO’s Registrar’s Standards, which is why you won’t see Ontario bonus offers on this site.
If You Move Between Provinces
Your location when you play is what counts, not your home address alone. If you move from BC to Ontario or Alberta, switch to that province’s regulated sites; the offshore brands on this page are not for you there.
Read our Alberta online casinos guide if you’re heading east. Players already in Ontario can browse Ontario-regulated brands such as bet365 and Jackpot City, which operate under AGCO registration there.
Common Mistakes BC Players Make
Most problems with offshore casinos start with a few avoidable mistakes. Here are the ones we see most often in the terms we’ve read.
Taking a Bonus Without Reading the Deadline
Five days to wager a GBL Solutions bonus, or seven at Casino Days, is a short window. If you can’t play enough in that time, you lose the bonus and any winnings from it. Check the expiry before you opt in.
Breaking the Max-Bet Rule
The C$7 cap at the GBL sites includes bonus-buy features and doubled bets. One bonus buy above the limit can void everything you’ve won with the bonus. Luxury Casino treats bets of 25% of the bonus or more as “irregular play.”
Withdrawing Too Soon at GBL Sites
Need for Spin, Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo can charge up to 10% if you’ve bet less than three times your deposit. Deposit C$100, bet C$150, then withdraw, and you could lose up to C$10 of your own money.
Using the Wrong Payment Method
Depositing with a card that can’t receive withdrawals means you’ll need a second method at cash-out time, and probably another round of verification. Pick a method that works both ways, such as Interac at Casino Days.
Assuming Game Break Covers Every Site
It doesn’t. Game Break covers BCLC venues and PlayNow. If you’ve enrolled because you need a break, an offshore account undoes that protection. Call 1-888-795-6111 instead of opening one.
How We Built This Page
Every BC legal fact here comes from official sources read on October 14, 2026: www2.gov.bc.ca, news.gov.bc.ca, igcobc.ca, playnow.com, corporate.bclc.com and notworththegamble.ca. Brand facts come from each operator’s own pages, read from a Canadian IP in October 2026.
We read terms and conditions, bonus terms, payment pages, FAQs and responsible gambling pages, and took screenshots of lobbies and promotions. We did not open real-money accounts, deposit or withdraw. Where an operator’s pages contradicted each other, as with 22Casino’s two welcome figures, we show both.
How We Chose the Eight Brands
We started from the casinos we review and kept those whose terms, as we read them, don’t exclude BC, and that hold a licence we could identify. We left out brands where no licence appeared on the pages we read, and brands whose Canadian offer wasn’t in CAD. Winshark (84/100) also qualified; we chose Luxury Casino for the eighth place because it accepts Interac deposits, holds a Kahnawake licence and names eCOGRA as its dispute body, which matters more to most BC players than a bigger bonus.
Ratings come from our rating methodology: licence and transparency, bonus value and fairness of terms, Canadian payments, games and live casino, mobile, and support and responsible gambling tools. The ranking order follows those ratings.
What We Will Update
If BC announces a regulated private market, we will replace the offshore shortlist with the province’s list of authorized sites. If any operator changes its terms for Canada, we will update the figures and the verification date.
