Credit Card Casino Canada: The Short Answer
Six of the 12 offshore casinos we track name Visa or Mastercard on their own pages: Stake, Roobet, TonyBet, Rolling Slots, Golisimo and Wild Tokyo. Stake is the only one that publishes a CAD card range for both deposits and withdrawals (C$5 to C$3,000), and it pays back only to the card you deposited with.
Getting a card payment accepted by the casino is only half of it. Some Canadian banks block gambling transactions on credit cards, and an issuer may treat a successful one as a cash advance, with a fee and interest from day one. This guide shows you which sites take cards, how payouts reach you and what the card really costs.
All six are offshore: none is regulated by a Canadian province. They are not options for Ontario or Alberta residents, who have their own regulated markets. Everywhere else you must be 19+ (18+ in Manitoba and Quebec).
Best for Two-Way Card Payments: Stake (94/100)
Stake’s help centre lists Visa and Mastercard in Canadian dollars with a C$5 to C$3,000 range that covers deposits and withdrawals. Deposits are processed in near real time, and a card withdrawal can take up to 3 business days to land in your bank account after Stake processes it.
Best for Larger Card Deposits: Roobet (92/100)
Roobet’s card guide accepts Visa and Mastercard from $10 up to $5,000 per deposit (the article doesn’t state the currency), credited instantly with processing of up to 1 hour. It is the highest single card deposit any of our six publish, and Roobet also runs Interac both ways if your bank refuses the card.
Widest Card Payout Range: Golisimo (83/100)
Golisimo’s public payments page, set to Canada, shows a “Withdraw to Card” option from C$20 to C$4,300. That is the highest card payout ceiling on the pages we read, although its own About page warns that card transactions “might take slightly more time” than e-wallets.
| 🎰 Casino | ⭐ Rating | 💳 Cards Named | ⬇️ Card Deposit | ⬆️ Card Withdrawal | ⏱️ Stated Card Timing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stake | 94/100 | Visa, Mastercard (CAD) | C$5 to C$3,000 | Yes, to the original card | Deposits near real time; payouts up to 3 business days |
| Roobet | 92/100 | Visa, Mastercard | $10 to $5,000 | Check the cashier | Instant, processing up to 1 hour |
| TonyBet | 89/100 | Visa, Mastercard | Set per method | Yes | Deposits up to 24 hours; payouts up to 7 business days |
| Rolling Slots | 85/100 | Visa, Mastercard | Yes (CAD account) | Check the cashier | Deposits appear immediately |
| Golisimo | 83/100 | “Withdraw to Card” | Check the cashier | C$20 to C$4,300 | “Slightly more time” than e-wallets |
| Wild Tokyo | 82/100 | Visa, Mastercard | Yes (CAD account) | Check the cashier | Deposits usually instant |
If you want a card in and a card out, with numbers in writing, Stake is the cleanest fit; TonyBet and Golisimo also pay to cards but publish slower or vaguer timings.
Which of Our 12 Casinos Accept Credit Cards?
Six of our 12 name Visa or Mastercard as a way to pay; the other six either run crypto-first cashiers or don’t list methods publicly. We read each operator’s cashier or payments page, banking FAQ, terms and help centre from a Canadian IP on October 9, 2026, and recorded only what they put in writing.
| 🎰 Casino | ⭐ Rating | 💳 Visa / Mastercard? | 📝 What the Pages We Read Show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stake | 94 | Yes, both ways | CAD cards C$5 to C$3,000; Interac e-Transfer payouts; crypto |
| BC.Game | 93 | No | Crypto-focused cashier (BTC, BC token) |
| Roobet | 92 | Yes, deposits | Cards $10 to $5,000; Interac; MuchBetter, AstroPay, Jeton; 11 coins |
| 22Casino | 91 | No | Crypto, WebMoney, Qiwi |
| Vave | 90 | Only to buy crypto | Visa/Mastercard through third-party crypto sellers; 8 coins |
| TonyBet | 89 | Yes, both ways | Bank cards, Skrill, Neteller, bank wire, crypto |
| Kingmaker | 87 | Not listed publicly | Public payments page showed no methods when logged out |
| Need for Spin | 86 | Generic mention | Terms mention “credit cards; debit cards; bank transfer; e-wallets” |
| Rolling Slots | 85 | Yes, deposits | Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller; bank transfer; crypto payouts |
| Winshark | 84 | Not listed publicly | C$30 minimum deposit for bonuses |
| Golisimo | 83 | Card payouts | Withdraw to Card C$20 to C$4,300; Interac; Skrill; MiFinity; crypto |
| Wild Tokyo | 82 | Yes, deposits | Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill, Bitcoin, G2A Pay |
A “no” here means the operator’s public pages don’t name a card, not that a logged-in cashier will never show one; we only recommend what a casino commits to in writing.
The Six Credit Card Casinos, Reviewed
Each of the six handles cards differently: some pay back to the card, others only take deposits, and limits range from C$5 to $5,000. Here is what each operator’s own pages say, in our ranking order, with the legal status you need before signing up.
Stake: Visa and Mastercard in CAD, Both Ways
Stake’s help centre has two articles on cards, one for deposits and one for withdrawals, both updated in August 2026. Its country table lists CAD, Canada, 5 to 3,000, Visa and Mastercard, labelled as the “Deposit/Withdraw limit”. We read that as C$5 to C$3,000 per transaction; the article doesn’t say whether it is daily.
Card deposits are “processed in near real time”, though Stake adds that some may take 1–3 business days. Withdrawals are where its rules get specific. Only players who have previously deposited with a card can withdraw to one, and the money goes back to the original card. A different card is refused.
Before your first CAD deposit you must verify your email; before your first withdrawal you must pass identity verification with a passport, national ID card or driver’s licence. Stake also pays CAD withdrawals by Interac e-Transfer through Payper Inc., which is the obvious fallback if your card payout stalls.
Stake is offshore and not regulated by a Canadian province. If a dispute arises, you deal with the operator, not your province, and Ontario and Alberta residents should use their regulated sites. Its rewards are VIP-based rather than a fixed welcome bonus: rakeback of 3.5% of the house edge on casino games once you reach Bronze ($10,000 wagered).
- 15 VIP Levels to Obsidian
- CAD Cards C$5 to C$3,000
- Interac e-Transfer Payouts
Roobet: Instant Card Deposits from $10
Roobet’s article “How to Deposit using a Credit Card” (July 2026) says card deposits “are instant and can be made in just a few taps”. It accepts Visa and Mastercard, plus “other solutions that may be available in your country”. Preset buttons offer 100, 250 and 500, or you type a custom amount between $10 and $5,000.
The article is unusually candid about failures. It names the two common causes of a rejected deposit, insufficient funds and a bank decline, and says rejected amounts are refunded automatically to the original account. For a bank decline, Roobet’s own advice is to use another method or call your bank.
The guide covers card deposits only. For cashing out from Canada, Roobet’s clearest route is Interac through Gigadat, which its help centre says may take 1–3 business days to reach your financial institution. Canada isn’t on Roobet’s restricted-regions list, and the site isn’t regulated by any Canadian province.
TonyBet: Bank Cards Both Ways Under Kahnawake
TonyBet’s FAQ lists Visa and Mastercard bank cards for deposits and withdrawals. The timings are spelled out: card deposits up to 24 hours, card withdrawals up to 7 business days. Skrill and Neteller payouts are targeted within 12 hours, so the card is the slowest way out of this cashier.
Its terms say TonyBet charges no processing fees on deposits made through payment providers, though your bank or provider may. Documents are requested at the first withdrawal, and you get 7 calendar days to send them or the withdrawal is rejected and the money returned to your balance.
TonyBet is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (licence 00902), not by a Canadian provincial regulator. Its terms apply that licence to “Canada (excluding Ontario and Alberta)”, so tonybet.com is not available in either province. The casino welcome offer is up to $2,500 plus 250 free spins, with 30x wagering and a $10 max bet, verified on the operator’s site in October 2026.
The TonyBet promotions page below shows the welcome offer as it appeared from Canada. Note the $20 minimum deposit to qualify for any deposit bonus, which applies whichever payment method you choose.

- Kahnawake licence No. 00902
- VIP cashback up to 10%
- Sportsbook and Omaha poker
Rolling Slots: Card Deposits Into a CAD Account
Rolling Slots lists Visa and Mastercard alongside Skrill and Neteller, and quotes bonuses, limits and minimums in C$. That matters for cards: a CAD account means no foreign-currency conversion on your statement. Deposits appear immediately, according to its terms.
Withdrawals follow the methods “available at the Casino website at the time of replenishment”. Minimums are C$15 by bank transfer, C$30 for other methods and C$80 for crypto, and entry-level accounts (loyalty levels 1–10) are capped at C$750 per day and C$15,000 per month. Payouts are processed Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 (GMT+3).
Two card-specific lines in its terms stand out. Verification can include a copy of your card, and the casino charges a 50 EUR fee per chargeback notification. There is also an up-to-10% commission if you withdraw after wagering less than 3x your deposit, a common anti-laundering rule that catches people who deposit by card and cash out quickly.
Rolling Slots is run by GBL Solutions N.V. under Curaçao Gaming Control Board licence OGL/2024/589/0556, not by a Canadian province. The promotions page below shows the Welcome Pack advertised at 300% up to C$5,800 plus 750 free spins, verified on the operator’s site in October 2026; the four deposit cards listed add up to C$5,300 and 700 spins.

- 15,000+ games claimed
- Daily cashback 5%, VIP 7%
- 24/7 live chat and email
Golisimo: Withdraw to Card from C$20
Golisimo’s payments page, set to Canada and Canadian Dollar, is the most detailed public list among our six. It shows Withdraw to Card at C$20 to C$4,300, next to Interac (C$10 to C$3,000), Skrill and bank transfer (both C$20 to C$7,800), MiFinity (C$20 to C$3,750) and about 15 crypto entries.
Its About page is honest about speed: e-wallet deposits and payouts are “lightning-fast”, while “credit card transactions might take slightly more time because they are processed by a bank”. No figure is given, so plan for a payout measured in days rather than hours.
The site’s terms and footer don’t name the operating company or a gaming licence (checked October 2026). It is not regulated by a Canadian province, so you would have no provincial body to turn to in a dispute. The promotions page below shows the casino welcome package of 300% up to $3,750 plus 300 free spins, verified on the operator’s site in October 2026.

- 8,387 Slots & 882 Jackpots
- 15+ Cryptos Incl. Bitcoin
- Daily Cashback Up to 15%
Wild Tokyo: Card Deposits and a C$15 Starting Point
Wild Tokyo, now at wildtokyocasino.com, says it offers “numerous payment options, including Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill, Bitcoin, and more”. Its FAQ calls deposits “100% free of charge”, while its terms say you pay basic bank fees, which for a credit card can include your issuer’s charges.
It runs on the same GBL Solutions N.V. platform as Rolling Slots, so the payout rules look familiar: minimum withdrawals of C$15 by bank transfer, C$30 for other methods and C$80 for crypto, and C$750 per day and C$12,000 per month at loyalty levels 1–22. Its FAQ quotes 24–48 hours and up to five banking days for withdrawals.
Wild Tokyo holds Curaçao GCB licence OGL/2024/589/0556, not a Canadian provincial licence. The promotions page below shows the three-deposit welcome pack, starting with 100% up to C$1,200 plus 200 free spins, and the Easy Start Bonus of 30 free spins plus 3 coins from C$15, verified on the operator’s site in October 2026.

Card Limits, Speeds and Rules Compared
Card deposits are fast at all six, but payouts differ by days, not hours: up to 3 business days at Stake, up to 7 at TonyBet, and weekday-only processing at the two GBL sites. The table puts the rules side by side, as published on each operator’s pages in October 2026.
| 🎰 Casino | ⬇️ Card Deposit Range | ⬆️ Payout Route | 📊 Withdrawal Caps | 🪪 ID Check | ⚠️ Card Rule to Know |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stake | C$5 to C$3,000 | Original card, or Interac e-Transfer | C$3,000 per card transaction | Before first withdrawal | Only card depositors can withdraw to a card |
| Roobet | $10 to $5,000 | Interac (1–3 business days) | — | Level 2 verification (passport, licence or government ID) | Bank declines are refunded automatically |
| TonyBet | Set per method; $20 for bonuses | Card (up to 7 business days), e-wallets, bank wire, crypto | — | At first withdrawal; 7 days to send documents | No TonyBet fees, but your bank may charge |
| Rolling Slots | From C$15 (Easy Start) | Methods used to deposit; bank from C$15 | C$750/day, C$15,000/month (levels 1–10) | On request; card copy may be asked | 50 EUR fee per chargeback notification |
| Golisimo | Check the cashier | Withdraw to Card C$20 to C$4,300 | Per method | When AML triggers are reached | Card payouts slower than e-wallets |
| Wild Tokyo | From C$15 (Easy Start) | Bank from C$15; other methods C$30 | C$750/day, C$12,000/month (levels 1–22) | Full KYC before any withdrawal | Up to 10% fee if under 3x deposit wagered |
Read across the “Payout Route” column before you deposit: at half of these sites, the card is a way in but not a way out.
Deposit Limits: From C$5 to $5,000
Stake has the lowest published floor at C$5, which suits a quick test of whether your bank will approve the payment at all. Roobet has the highest ceiling at $5,000 per card deposit. The GBL sites quote their lowest entry point through the Easy Start Bonus, from C$15.
Your card has its own limits, too. A credit card’s available credit, and any separate cash-advance limit your issuer sets, can be lower than the casino’s maximum. If a C$1,000 deposit fails while a C$100 one goes through, the cap is usually on the bank’s side.
Withdrawal Speeds: Days, Not Minutes
Card payouts are the slowest category in every cashier that lists them. Stake says up to 3 business days after processing, TonyBet up to 7 business days, and Golisimo only that card transactions take “slightly more time”. Wild Tokyo’s FAQ gives 24–48 hours and up to five banking days depending on the method.
These are the operators’ stated targets, not our measurements: we read them on each site and did not withdraw. Weekends and holidays don’t count as business days, so a Friday-evening request may not move until Monday.
Who Actually Pays Back to the Card
Three of the six confirm card payouts in writing: Stake, TonyBet and Golisimo. Roobet’s card article covers deposits only, and Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo confirm card deposits while naming bank transfer, crypto and other methods for payouts. Plan a second, withdrawal-ready method before you deposit at those three.
Pro Tip:
Open the withdrawal tab of the cashier before your first card deposit. If the card isn’t listed there, verify a bank account, Interac or an e-wallet in your name now, so your first payout isn’t delayed by a second round of checks.
How to Deposit at a Credit Card Casino
A card deposit takes under two minutes: open the cashier, choose Visa or Mastercard, enter an amount and your card details, then approve any bank prompt. The general flow is the same everywhere; the menu names differ slightly by site.
- Check your province and age. These offshore sites are not for Ontario or Alberta residents; elsewhere you must be 19+ (18+ in Manitoba and Quebec).
- Register with your real details. The name on the account must match the name on the card, or later verification will fail.
- Set CAD as your currency where the site allows it (Stake, Rolling Slots, Wild Tokyo and TonyBet support CAD).
- Open the cashier and pick Visa or Mastercard. If the option is missing, it isn’t offered for your currency or location.
- Enter the amount and card details: card number, cardholder name, expiry date and security code.
- Approve the payment in your banking app if your issuer asks, then check the balance before you play.
Stake’s Card Deposit Path, Step by Step
Stake’s help centre spells out the exact menu: Wallet, then Deposit, then Local Currency, then Debit/Credit Card. You pick an amount, enter the card details and click “Set Amount”. Verify your email first, because Stake requires it before your first CAD deposit.
If the card option doesn’t appear, Stake’s answer is to check that your currency is supported in your country: “The credit card option will only appear if it is available for your selected currency and location.” Switching the wallet to CAD is the first thing to try.
Roobet’s Card Deposit Path
At Roobet, go to the Deposit tab and select CASH (Cards, banks and more), then Visa & Mastercard. Pick 100, 250 or 500, or tap Custom for any amount from $10 to $5,000. The form asks for card number, cardholder name, expiry (MM/YYYY) and security code.
Roobet’s guide also describes a second way to use a card: load a Neteller wallet first, then deposit from Neteller. That adds a step, but it keeps your card number with one e-wallet instead of several casinos.
Before You Hit Deposit: A Quick Checklist
- Does the cashier pay back to this card, or will you need another method?
- Is the account in CAD, so no conversion appears on your statement?
- Does your issuer treat gambling as a cash advance? Check your cardholder agreement.
- If you want a bonus, does the deposit meet the minimum (for example $20 at TonyBet)?
- Have you set a deposit limit in the account before the first payment?
How Credit Card Withdrawals Work
A card withdrawal sends your winnings back to the same card you deposited with, after the casino has verified your identity, and it usually takes several business days. Where the card can’t take a payout, the casino uses another method in your name.
The Same-Card Rule
Stake states it plainly: “Credit card withdrawals are processed back to the original card used for the deposit.” You can’t switch to a different card, and only players who deposited by card can withdraw that way. Its wider rule is that withdrawals must use a method you previously deposited with.
Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo have a similar principle in their terms: withdrawals can be made “in any way available at the Casino website at the time of replenishment”. The logic is anti-money-laundering. Money should leave by the route it came in, to an account that is provably yours.
Identity Checks Before Your First Payout
Every one of the six checks identity before releasing money. Stake wants a passport, national ID card or driver’s licence before your first withdrawal. TonyBet asks at the first withdrawal and gives you 7 calendar days, and may request a selfie holding your ID.
The GBL sites go further. Rolling Slots may ask for a colour passport or driver’s licence, a copy of your card, an e-wallet screenshot and a utility bill under 3 months old; documents are due within 30 days. Both GBL sites block cumulative payouts above €2,300 (or €2,000 within 24 hours) until your identity, age and residence are verified.
When you photograph a card for verification, a common practice is to cover the middle digits of the number and the security code on the back. Check the casino’s instructions first, and only upload through its secure verification page, never by chat.
When the Card Can’t Take the Payout
Many Canadian players deposit by card and get paid another way. At Stake, that is usually Interac e-Transfer from Payper Inc., up to 3 business days. At Roobet, Interac through Gigadat, 1–3 business days to your bank once processed.
At Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo, the low-cost route is bank transfer from C$15, while crypto payouts start at C$80. TonyBet targets Skrill and Neteller payouts within 12 hours, which is far quicker than its 7-day card window if you already use those wallets.
Why Canadian Banks May Decline Casino Card Payments
Your casino may accept Visa and Mastercard while your bank refuses the transaction: some Canadian card issuers block gambling payments on credit cards outright. That is a bank policy, not a casino fault, and it explains most failed card deposits.
Merchant Codes and Gambling Blocks
Every card payment carries a merchant category code that tells the issuer what kind of business is charging you. Gambling has its own code, so a bank can spot and block it automatically, whatever the casino’s licence. Policies vary by issuer and can change without much notice.
Some banks also let you switch gambling blocks on yourself in their app, as a spending control. If you’ve turned that on, or a family member set it up, your card will be declined at every casino, which is the intended result.
Cash Advance Treatment
When a gambling payment on a credit card does go through, many issuers may treat it as a cash advance rather than a purchase. That typically means a cash-advance fee, a higher interest rate, and interest charged from the day of the transaction with no grace period. Your cardholder agreement says which applies to you.
Cash advances also don’t usually earn rewards points, and they may count against a separate, lower cash-advance limit. If your C$300 deposit is approved and then a C$500 one is refused the same day, that limit is the likely reason.
What to Do After a Decline
Don’t keep retrying the same card: repeated failed attempts can trigger a fraud hold on your account. Roobet’s own help centre recommends using an alternative payment method or calling your bank, and notes that rejected amounts are refunded automatically to the original account.
- Check your banking app for a declined-transaction notice and the reason.
- Ask your bank whether gambling is blocked on that card, and how it would be charged.
- Try a method built for Canadian banking, such as Interac, where the casino offers it.
- Never use someone else’s card or a workaround to get past a block you set yourself.
Watch out:
A refused card payment is sometimes a useful signal. If you set a gambling block on your own card, keep it. Look at our responsible gambling guide before reaching for a different payment method.
The Real Cost of Paying by Credit Card
The casino rarely charges you for a card deposit; your card issuer might, through cash-advance fees and interest, and a few casino terms add their own charges on the way out. Adding up both sides before you deposit is what separates a cheap card payment from an expensive one.
Cash-Advance Fees and Interest: A Worked Example
Take an illustrative card with a 3.5% cash-advance fee (minimum C$3.50) and a 22.99% annual cash-advance rate; your own card’s numbers may differ. A C$200 deposit treated as a cash advance costs C$7 in fees straight away.
Interest then runs from the transaction date. At 22.99% a year, C$207 costs roughly C$0.13 a day, so about C$3.90 over a 30-day statement cycle. Leave it unpaid for three months and the total cost climbs past C$18, about 9% of the original deposit, before you have won or lost a cent.
That is why a credit card makes the least sense for frequent small deposits. Five C$20 deposits on that card would hit the C$3.50 minimum fee five times: C$17.50 in fees on C$100 of play.
Currency Conversion on Your Statement
If the casino charges in another currency, your issuer converts it and usually adds a foreign-transaction fee on top. Choosing a site with a CAD account avoids that: Stake (CAD cards), TonyBet, Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo all support CAD. Roobet’s card article doesn’t name the currency of its $10 to $5,000 range, so check your statement after a small first deposit.
Casino-Side Fees Hidden in the Terms
Card users should read three clauses. Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo can charge up to 10% commission if you withdraw after wagering less than 3x your deposit. Rolling Slots charges 50 EUR per chargeback notification. Both GBL sites charge 10 EUR a month on accounts dormant for 6 months, and TonyBet charges CAD 7 a month on dormant accounts.
On the positive side, TonyBet says it charges no processing fees on deposits via payment providers or on bank wire withdrawals, and Wild Tokyo’s FAQ calls deposits free of charge. Neither promise covers what your own bank bills you.
| 💳 Method | 💸 Typical Cost to You | 🏦 Bank Decline Risk | ⬆️ Payouts Back? | ✅ Available at (Our Six) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Credit card | May be a cash advance: fee plus interest from day one | Higher; some issuers block gambling | Sometimes, to the same card | Stake, Roobet, TonyBet, Rolling Slots, Wild Tokyo |
| Debit Visa / Mastercard | Usually none from the bank | Medium; the same merchant blocks can apply | Sometimes, to the same card | Stake (Debit/Credit Card menu) |
| Interac | Usually none or your bank’s e-Transfer fee | Low; built for Canadian banks | Yes, where offered | Roobet, Golisimo (deposits); Stake (payouts) |
| E-wallet (Skrill, Neteller, MiFinity) | Wallet’s own fees may apply | Low at the casino; the card-to-wallet top-up may still be blocked | Yes | TonyBet, Rolling Slots, Wild Tokyo, Golisimo |
| Crypto | Network fee and exchange spread | None at the casino | Yes | Stake, Roobet, TonyBet, Golisimo, Wild Tokyo; Rolling Slots (payouts) |
For pure cost, a credit card ranks last among these options; its only real edge is that almost everyone already has one in their wallet.
Credit Card vs Debit Card at Online Casinos
A debit Visa or Mastercard spends your own money with no cash-advance fee, while a credit card spends borrowed money that may be charged as a cash advance. At the cashier they look identical; on your statement they don’t.
Debit Visa and Debit Mastercard
Most big Canadian banks now issue debit cards that carry the Visa or Mastercard logo and work for online payments. Stake’s menu is literally labelled “Debit/Credit Card”, so the same CAD C$5 to C$3,000 range applies. You avoid interest, but a bank’s gambling block can still apply to debit.
There is also a behavioural point. Debit spending stops at your chequing balance; credit spending stops at your limit, which is usually much higher. For gambling, the lower ceiling is a feature.
When a Credit Card Can Make Sense
A credit card can be reasonable if your issuer processes the payment as a normal purchase, you pay the balance in full every month, and you use it for an occasional, budgeted deposit. If any of those three isn’t true, a debit card or Interac is the better choice.
Pros:
- Accepted at six of our 12 sites, more than any single Canadian bank method
- Deposits credited instantly or near real time at Stake, Roobet and the GBL sites
- Low entry points: C$5 at Stake, $10 at Roobet
- No separate account or app to open
Cons:
- Some Canadian banks block gambling on credit cards
- May be billed as a cash advance, with fees and immediate interest
- Card payouts are slow (up to 7 business days at TonyBet) or not offered
- Gambling with borrowed money raises the stakes of a losing run
Credit Cards and Casino Bonuses
A card deposit can unlock the welcome offers at TonyBet, Rolling Slots, Golisimo and Wild Tokyo, but wagering rules turn it into a long commitment. Check the bonus card in the cashier for excluded methods, and read the rules before you claim, because a bonus can lock your card money in the account for days.
TonyBet: 30x Wagering and a $10 Max Bet
TonyBet’s welcome bonuses must be wagered at least 30 times, deposit bonuses expire after 14 days and the maximum bet with an active bonus is $10, verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. On a C$200 bonus, 30x means C$6,000 in bets, and the terms also ask you to wager the qualifying deposit.
With a C$1 average spin, that is 6,000 spins in two weeks, roughly 430 a day. Fine if you play slots daily; a trap if you deposited C$200 on a credit card for a weekend. Table games, crash games and live dealer games don’t count towards TonyBet’s bonus wagering.
Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo: C$7 Bets, 5-Day Windows
Both GBL sites cap bets at C$7 while a bonus is active, including bonus buys, and give you 48 hours to activate a bonus and 5 days to use it. The welcome-pack wagering multiplier isn’t shown on the pages we read, so open the bonus card in the cashier and check it before you deposit.
At Wild Tokyo, live dealer, table games and jackpots can’t be played with an active bonus, and roulette counts only 5% where allowed. If you want card money for live blackjack, decline the bonus.
Golisimo: x35 on Deposit Plus Bonus
Golisimo’s general terms set a default of x35 on the deposit plus bonus for deposit bonuses, with winnings capped at x10 the bonus, unless a promotion says otherwise. A C$100 deposit with a C$100 bonus means C$7,000 in wagering, and at most C$1,000 can be withdrawn from bonus play.
Our wagering requirements guide works through more examples, and the welcome bonus comparison lines up every offer in our ranking.
Are Credit Card Casinos Safe?
Card payments themselves are well protected, but the casino’s licence and terms decide how safe your money is once it’s deposited. With offshore sites, there is no Canadian provincial regulator behind you.
What Protects Your Card Details
Roobet describes its card form as a “secure payment form”, and the card networks require encrypted processing for online payments. Your bank may add a one-time approval step in its app. Turn on two-factor authentication where the casino offers it; Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo both list 2FA among their account tools.
Chargebacks: Why They Backfire
A chargeback asks your bank to reverse a card payment. For genuine fraud, such as a charge you never made, it is the right tool. Used to undo a deposit you simply regret, it usually ends badly: casinos treat it as a breach of terms, may close the account and keep the balance, and Rolling Slots charges 50 EUR per chargeback notification.
If you regret deposits, the better route is a deposit limit or self-exclusion through the casino, plus a gambling block from your bank. Both work before the money moves.
Red Flags at a Card Casino
- Card details requested by chat or email instead of a cashier form.
- Withdrawals promised to a card you never deposited with.
- No terms page explaining payouts, verification and fees.
- Pressure to deposit again to “unlock” a pending withdrawal.
Our rating methodology explains how licence transparency and payment terms feed into each score.
Is It Legal to Use a Credit Card at Casinos in Canada?
Using a card is a banking question; legality depends on who runs the casino and where you live. Under section 207 of the Criminal Code, gambling is legal when a provincial government conducts and manages it, and each province decides how it offers online gambling.
The six card casinos here are offshore operators licensed elsewhere (Curaçao, Kahnawake) or with no licence named on their pages. They are not regulated by your province, so a provincial regulator can’t resolve a dispute with them; you rely on the operator and its licensing body. Our legal guide covers each province.
Ontario and Alberta Players
Ontario runs a regulated iGaming market, launched April 4, 2022, with sites registered by the AGCO and listed by iGaming Ontario. Alberta’s regulated market launched July 13, 2026. If you live in either province, use your province’s regulated sites, not the offshore casinos on this page. See our Ontario online casinos guide.
Are Card Casino Winnings Taxed?
For recreational players, gambling winnings are generally treated as windfalls and are not taxed in Canada, according to the CRA. People who gamble as a business, such as organised professional poker players, may be taxed, and interest earned on winnings is taxable. The payment method makes no difference.
Alternatives to Credit Cards
If your bank declines the card or you want faster payouts, Interac, e-wallets and crypto are the three realistic alternatives at our six sites. Each fixes a different card weakness.
Interac
Interac moves CAD straight from your chequing account, with no cash advance involved. Roobet handles it both ways, Golisimo takes Interac deposits from C$10 to C$3,000, and Stake pays CAD withdrawals by e-Transfer. Compare them in our best Interac casinos guide.
E-Wallets
Skrill and Neteller are listed at TonyBet, Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo, and Golisimo adds Skrill and MiFinity. TonyBet targets e-wallet payouts within 12 hours, against up to 7 business days for cards. Loading a wallet from a credit card can still be billed as a cash advance, so fund it from your bank where you can.
Crypto, Including Buying It With a Card
Roobet lets you buy crypto in the cashier through Swapped.com from $10 USD, with cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and Vave points to third-party sellers that accept Visa and Mastercard. It’s convenient, but the seller’s spread is a hidden cost and the card leg may still be treated as a cash advance. Our crypto casinos guide explains wallets and networks.
Credit Cards and Responsible Gambling
Gambling on credit means you can lose money you don’t have yet, so set limits before the first deposit, not after a bad night. If you notice you’re chasing losses or rolling over a card balance to keep playing, stop and talk to someone.
Limits Each Casino Offers
- Stake: deposit limits (daily for local currencies), loss and wager limits, 24-hour cooling-off before any increase, self-exclusion.

- TonyBet: deposit and loss limits, time-out, self-exclusion of 6 months to 3 years, 48-hour cooling-off on increases.
- Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo: Take a Break (1 day to 1 week), Reality Check reminders, self-exclusion by email.
- Golisimo: self-exclusion and time-outs on request through support@golisimo.com.

How We Chose These Credit Card Casinos
We included a casino only if its own pages name Visa, Mastercard or a card payout option for Canadian players. On October 9, 2026 we read each operator’s cashier or payments page, banking FAQ, terms, bonus terms and help centre from a Canadian IP, and captured screenshots where the site allowed it.
We did not open accounts, deposit or withdraw. The timings above are what the operators publish, and the cost example uses illustrative card terms. Stake and Roobet facts come from their official help centres, since their main sites blocked automated access. Ratings are our overall editorial scores out of 100, explained in how we rate casinos.
