Wagering Requirements at a Glance
A wagering requirement is the total amount you must bet before bonus money, or winnings from it, can be withdrawn. At the Canadian-facing casinos we track, the published multipliers run from 10x on TonyBet’s VIP cashback to 75x on its Weekly Unlock Bonus, with 30x, 35x and 45x on the main welcome offers.
The multiplier alone tells you little. What decides whether a bonus is worth claiming is the base it applies to (bonus only, or deposit plus bonus), how much each game counts, the maximum bet, the clock, and any cap on what you can cash out. We read every one of those terms on the operators’ own pages from a Canadian IP on October 9, 2026, and ran the numbers below.
The single most useful formula on this page is expected loss = total wagering × house edge. If that figure is bigger than the bonus, the average player hands the bonus back (and often some of their deposit) before the rollover is done.
Clearest Bonus Rulebook: Winshark (84/100)
Winshark publishes a numbered list of bonus rules covering max bet (C$7), activation (48 hours), validity (5 days), game weighting and what happens if you withdraw early. The trade-off is a steep 45x on the bonus amount with only five days to finish. It is licensed in Curaçao (GCB, OGL/2024/589/0556), not by a Canadian province.
Longest Clock on a Welcome Bonus: TonyBet (89/100)
TonyBet’s general bonus terms set welcome-bonus wagering at 30x, a $10 maximum bet and 14 days to finish, nearly three times the window at the GBL Solutions sites. Its Kahnawake licence covers Canada excluding Ontario and Alberta.
Most Detailed Game Weighting: Kingmaker and Golisimo
These two sister sites share one General T&C with a full contribution table, a list of 50%-weighted game shows, a 0% list and a long list of games you can’t open with a bonus. Their default rule is heavier, though: 35x on deposit plus bonus, with a 10x-the-bonus withdrawal cap and 10 days to finish.
What a Wagering Requirement Actually Is
A wagering requirement is a multiplier that turns a bonus into a betting target. It applies to almost every casino bonus, from matched deposits to free spins. A C$100 bonus with 30x wagering on the bonus means you must place C$3,000 in bets before the bonus balance converts into money you can withdraw.
You don’t need to bet C$3,000 of your own cash. Each spin counts toward the target whether it is funded by your deposit, the bonus, or winnings you have recycled. A C$1 spin that wins C$1.50 still counts as C$1 of wagering, and the C$1.50 can be bet again.
That recycling is exactly why house edge matters. Every bet shaves a small, predictable slice off your balance on average. The more you must bet, the more of the balance the edge wears away before you reach the line.
Why Casinos Attach Rollover to Bonuses
Without a wagering requirement, anyone could deposit C$100, receive a C$100 bonus and withdraw C$200 immediately. Rollover forces bonus money through the games, where the house edge does its work.
It also screens out pure bonus hunters. A player who deposits once a month for entertainment barely notices a 30x target on a small bonus; a player trying to extract free money finds the arithmetic stacked against them.
Wagering, Playthrough and Rollover: Same Thing
Operators use the terms interchangeably. Kingmaker’s terms say “wagering requirement”, other sites write “playthrough” or “turnover”, and many players say “rollover”. All three mean the same multiplier on the same base.
You will also see the “x” placed before or after the number: x35, 35x and “35 times” all describe the same rule. Kingmaker’s terms define it plainly: “a wagering requirement of x5 (five) means that you must bet the equivalent of five times the respective amount.”
What Counts as a Wager
Only settled real bets count, and only at the weighting the casino assigns to the game. At Winshark a C$1 slot spin counts as C$1, a C$1 bet on RNG roulette counts as 5 cents, and a C$1 hand of blackjack counts as nothing.
Free spins themselves aren’t wagers. Their winnings usually become bonus money that carries its own rollover; Winshark applies its 45x welcome-pack rate to “bonuses and Free Spins”.
Real Money First, Bonus Money Second
At every site in this guide whose rules address it, your own cash is used before the bonus. Winshark’s rule 7 says the balance is debited “first the real balance, and only then the bonus money”. Kingmaker and Golisimo say the same in clause 7.11.
This order matters more than most players realise. If you deposit C$100, take a C$100 bonus and lose the first C$100, you have lost your own money; you are now playing purely on house money with the full rollover still ahead. If you hit early, the win sits on your real balance, but at Winshark and Kingmaker withdrawing at that point forfeits the bonus.
The Wagering Formula: Bonus vs Deposit + Bonus
The formula is always multiplier × base = total wagering, but the base changes from casino to casino. Getting the base wrong can double your estimate.
Two bases dominate the terms we read, and both appear on the welcome bonuses Canadians are offered most often. Winshark and its sister sites apply the multiplier to the bonus amount only. Kingmaker and Golisimo, by default, apply it to the deposit plus the bonus.
Bonus-Only Wagering: Winshark’s 45x
Winshark’s welcome terms say wagering for “bonuses and Free Spins from the Welcome Pack” is “45x of the bonus amount”. Deposit C$100, receive C$100 on the Standard first-deposit option, and the target is 45 × C$100 = C$4,500.
Your C$100 deposit isn’t in the formula, but it is still on the line, because it is wagered first and counts toward the C$4,500.
Deposit-Plus-Bonus Wagering: Kingmaker and Golisimo’s 35x
Clause 7.16 of the shared Kingmaker and Golisimo T&C says a deposit casino bonus “has wagering requirements of x35 (thirty-five) times the initial amount of the deposit and bonus received”, unless a promotion says otherwise.
Deposit C$100, receive a C$100 bonus, and the target is 35 × C$200 = C$7,000. That is 70 times the bonus. The lower-looking 35x is in fact far heavier than Winshark’s 45x on the same deal.
When the Base Isn’t Stated: TonyBet’s 30x
TonyBet’s general terms say “Welcome bonuses must be wagered at least 30 times” without saying whether the base is the bonus or the deposit plus bonus. A separate clause requires you to wager the value of your qualifying deposit before withdrawing bonus-related winnings.
On a C$100 deposit with a C$100 bonus that means a target of either C$3,000 (bonus only) or C$6,000 (deposit plus bonus). We show both in the examples below. Ask support which applies before you opt in, and keep the reply.
Wagering on Free Spin Winnings
Free spin winnings are usually credited as bonus money with their own multiplier. If Winshark’s 50 first-deposit free spins return C$20, the 45x rate turns that into C$900 of wagering.
Kingmaker and Golisimo cap no-deposit free spin winnings at C$120 and apply x40 to “the derived winnings” (clause 7.15). A C$10 free spin win therefore needs C$400 of play, and nothing above C$120 can come out however lucky you get.
| 🧮 Base | 🎁 Example deal | ✖️ Multiplier | 🎯 Total wagering | 📏 Equals x bonus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bonus only | C$100 deposit + C$100 bonus | 30x | C$3,000 | 30x |
| Bonus only | C$100 deposit + C$100 bonus | 45x (Winshark) | C$4,500 | 45x |
| Deposit + bonus | C$100 deposit + C$100 bonus | 30x | C$6,000 | 60x |
| Deposit + bonus | C$100 deposit + C$100 bonus | 35x (Kingmaker, Golisimo default) | C$7,000 | 70x |
| Deposit + bonus | C$200 deposit + C$100 bonus (50% match) | 35x | C$10,500 | 105x |
| Winnings only | C$10 won from no-deposit free spins | 40x (Kingmaker, Golisimo) | C$400 | 40x the win |
The last column is the one to compare: once every offer is restated as “times the bonus”, a 35x deposit-plus-bonus rule on a 100% match is clearly heavier than 45x on the bonus alone.
Converting Any Offer to One Number
To compare offers fairly, express everything as wagering per C$1 of bonus. For a bonus-only rule that is simply the multiplier. For a deposit-plus-bonus rule, multiply by (deposit + bonus) ÷ bonus.
On a 100% match the factor is 2, so 35x becomes 70x. On a 50% match it is 3, so 35x becomes 105x. Smaller match percentages make deposit-plus-bonus rules dramatically heavier, which is why high-roller options with 50% matches deserve extra scrutiny.
Real Wagering Terms at 12 Canadian-Facing Casinos
Below are the wagering terms we found on each operator’s own pages, verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. A dash means the figure wasn’t on the pages we read; it doesn’t mean the term doesn’t exist, so check the offer’s own terms before opting in. None of these sites is regulated by a Canadian province.

The six brands ranked at the top of this page are the ones whose published rules on max bet, clock and multipliers are complete enough to plan a rollover around.
GBL Solutions Sites: One Rulebook, Four Brands
Need for Spin, Rolling Slots, Winshark and Wild Tokyo are run by GBL Solutions N.V. under Curaçao licence OGL/2024/589/0556. Their general bonus terms match: a C$7 max bet “when a bonus is active” that includes bonus buys and doubled bets, 48 hours to activate and 5 days to finish.
Winshark is the only one of the four whose welcome-pack multiplier we found in writing (45x on the bonus). The others publish multipliers for side offers: 45x on Need for Spin’s Bonus Map and loyalty bonuses, 45x on Rolling Slots’ loyalty levels and 50x on Wild Tokyo’s daily bonuses. Their general terms all say you “need to wager the bonus amount a certain number of times”.
Kingmaker and Golisimo: Shared Default Rules
Kingmaker and Golisimo run identical General T&C (version 1.13, last updated September 25, 2026). Clause 7.16 sets the defaults: 35x on deposit plus bonus for deposit bonuses with a 10x-the-bonus withdrawal cap, and 40x for no-deposit bonuses with a 5x cap. Clause 7.12 gives 10 days for casino bonuses.
The site’s terms and footer don’t name the operating company or a gaming licence (checked October 2026). That matters for wagering disputes: clause 7.3 says the company’s decision on “calculation of winnings and wagering requirements” is “final and non-negotiable”.
TonyBet: Kahnawake Terms With a Longer Clock
TonyBet is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (No. 00902) for players in Canada excluding Ontario and Alberta. Its general bonus terms give 30x on welcome bonuses, a $10 max bet, a $20 minimum deposit for any deposit bonus and 14 days by default.
It also runs the heaviest rollover we found anywhere: 75x on the Weekly Unlock Bonus, which first has to be “unlocked” through slot turnover. We break that one down in the worked examples.
Vave: Crypto Caps in USDT
Vave runs crypto-only accounts, so its rules are written in USDT. The general terms cap the bet at 5 USDT while a casino bonus is active, and cap withdrawals at 10,000 USDT from any deposit bonus and 50 USDT from no-deposit bonuses or free spins.
Its VIP level rewards carry 10x wagering and converting VIP points to cash adds x5. Vave’s licence is not named on the pages we read.
Stake, BC.Game, Roobet and 22Casino
These four don’t publish a standard rollover multiplier for a welcome offer on the pages we could read. Stake’s model is different: its help centre describes rakeback of 3.5% of the house edge, paid as cash, which we compare with wagered bonuses further down.
22Casino (Kahnawake, licence 01056) advertises up to C$2,360 + 150 FS on its homepage and C$2,250 + 150 FS on its promotions page. BC.Game (Anjouan, ALSI-202410011-FI1) mentions welcome bonuses and cashback, and Roobet offers VIP perks by invitation.

Expected Loss: Wager × House Edge
Expected loss is the average amount a game takes from you per dollar bet, multiplied by everything you bet. For a wagering requirement it answers the only question that matters: on average, how much of the bonus will the house edge eat before I finish?
Casinos rarely show this number, yet it takes ten seconds to work out. Once you have it, every offer in this guide can be judged on one line.
The One Formula Worth Memorising
Expected loss = total wagering × house edge. House edge is simply 100% minus the game’s return to player (RTP). A slot with 96% RTP has a 4% house edge.
So C$4,500 of wagering on a 96% slot has an expected loss of C$4,500 × 0.04 = C$180. If the bonus was C$100, the average outcome is an C$80 shortfall: you burn through the bonus and C$80 more before finishing.
Then compare: bonus value − expected loss = expected value of the offer. Positive means that, on average, you finish with some of the bonus left. Negative means the average player doesn’t get there.
Why 96% RTP Is Our Working Number
Online slots typically publish RTPs between about 94% and 97%, and many studios offer the same game at several RTP settings. We use 96% (a 4% edge) as a middle value, and show 97% and 94% where the verdict flips.
Check the RTP in the game’s info panel before you start. On a 45x bonus-only rollover, the difference between 94% and 97% RTP is the difference between losing 2.7 times the bonus and 1.35 times the bonus on average.
The Break-Even Multiplier
For a bonus-only rule, the offer breaks even on average when multiplier × house edge = 1. At a 4% edge that is 25x; at 3% it is about 33x; at 6% it drops to about 17x.
For a deposit-plus-bonus rule on a 100% match, the base is twice the bonus, so break-even halves: 12.5x at a 4% edge. Kingmaker and Golisimo’s default 35x on deposit plus bonus is therefore almost three times past break-even on a 96% slot.
| 🎰 Slot RTP | 📉 House edge | 🎁 Break-even (bonus only) | 💰 Break-even (deposit + bonus, 100% match) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 94% | 6% | ≈16.7x | ≈8.3x |
| 95% | 5% | 20x | 10x |
| 96% | 4% | 25x | 12.5x |
| 97% | 3% | ≈33.3x | ≈16.7x |
| 98% | 2% | 50x | 25x |
Any published multiplier above the break-even figure for your game means the average outcome is a lost bonus; the further above, the lower the odds of finishing with anything.
What a Negative Number Really Means
A negative expected value doesn’t mean you will lose the whole deposit plus more. Once the balance hits zero, the session ends, so your loss is limited to what was actually on the balance.
What it does mean is that most attempts end before the rollover is complete. A minority of sessions hit a large win early and finish comfortably; the rest bust. You are buying a lottery-style shot at a payout, not a discount. That can still be fun, as long as you see it that way.
Variance: Why Averages Don’t Tell the Whole Story
Expected loss is an average over thousands of attempts. Any single attempt is driven by volatility. A low-volatility slot pays small amounts often and tends to track the average closely; a high-volatility slot pays rarely but big.
On a negative-value rollover, high volatility raises your chance of the one big hit that carries you over the line, but also your chance of busting fast. Max cashout caps (10x the bonus at Kingmaker and Golisimo by default) cut off the upside that makes high-volatility play attractive, which tilts the choice back toward medium-volatility games.
Worked Examples With Each Real Offer
These examples use the terms we read on each operator’s own pages on October 9, 2026, and a 96% RTP slot unless stated. Deposit sizes are our illustrations; the multipliers, caps and clocks are the operators’.
Winshark Standard First Deposit: C$235 at 45x
Winshark’s first deposit (Standard option) is a 100% match up to C$235 plus 50 free spins, from a C$30 deposit; the offer was verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. Deposit C$235 and you get C$235 in bonus money.
Wagering: 45 × C$235 = C$10,575. Expected loss at 4%: C$423. Expected value: C$235 − C$423 = −C$188. At 97% RTP the expected loss falls to about C$317, still more than the bonus.
The clock makes it harder. You have 5 days after activation, so C$2,115 of bets per day. At the C$7 maximum bet that is at least 1,511 spins; at C$1 a spin it is 10,575 spins, over 2,100 a day.
At the C$30 minimum the numbers scale down: C$30 bonus, C$1,350 wagering, C$54 expected loss. Small or large, a 45x bonus-only rule on a 96% slot costs about 1.8 times the bonus on average.
Winshark High-Roller Option: C$790 and Up
The alternative first-deposit option is 50% up to C$3,155 plus 100 free spins, from C$790. A C$790 deposit brings a C$395 bonus.
Wagering: 45 × C$395 = C$17,775, or 2,540 spins at C$7 in five days. Expected loss: C$711, against a C$395 bonus. To reach the full C$3,155 you would deposit C$6,310 and face C$141,975 in wagering, which works out to more than 4,000 maximum-bet spins a day.
The promo card advertised this option as “50% up to C$3945”, but the terms say C$3,155; we use the terms. The C$3,945 package headline is only reachable through this High-Roller path, combined with the second (80% up to C$315) and third (60% up to C$475) deposits.
Winshark Madnessday and Cyber Reload
The Wednesday Madnessday bonus is 40% up to C$395 and the Friday-to-Sunday Cyber Reload is 50% up to C$475, both from C$30, both at 45x on the bonus, both with 5 days to finish.
On a C$100 Madnessday deposit you get C$40, owe C$1,800 in wagering and face a C$72 expected loss. On a C$100 Cyber Reload deposit you get C$50, owe C$2,250, and the expected loss is C$90. In both cases the edge eats roughly 1.8 times the bonus, exactly as on the welcome offer.
Winshark Floating Cashback at 30x
Winshark’s Monday cashback returns 8% to 15% of the previous week’s deposit losses, depending on loyalty rank (Rank 1 gets 0%), between C$8 and C$475, with 30x wagering.
Say you are Rank 3 (10%) and lost C$500: you get C$50 back, owe C$1,500 in wagering and face a C$60 expected loss. That’s slightly more than the credit, but this is money you’d already lost, so the honest framing is a modest chance of recovering part of it.
One trap: Winshark’s rule 7 debits your real balance before bonus money. If you activate cashback with cash still in your account, your own money is wagered first. Activate it when your real balance is empty, or withdraw first.
In our capture of Winshark’s promotions page, the three weekly cards (Madnessday 40% up to C$395, Cyber Reload 50% up to C$475, Floating Cashback 15% up to C$475) show only the headline. The 45x or 30x multiplier, the C$7 max bet and the 5-day clock sit behind each card’s Details link.

TonyBet First Deposit: 100% up to C$1,000 at 30x
TonyBet’s promotions selector shows a first-deposit casino bonus of 100% up to $1,000 plus 100 free spins, as part of a package advertised at up to C$2,500 + 250 FS; verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. Welcome bonuses carry 30x, a $10 max bet and 14 days.
On a C$100 deposit with a bonus-only base: C$3,000 wagering, C$120 expected loss, −C$20 expected value. If the base is deposit plus bonus: C$6,000 wagering, C$240 expected loss, −C$140.
At the C$1,000 maximum, a bonus-only base means C$30,000 of wagering, 3,000 spins at the $10 cap, or about C$2,143 a day over 14 days. Expected loss C$1,200 against C$1,000. On a 97% RTP slot, the bonus-only reading flips positive (C$900 expected loss), the only welcome offer in this guide where that happens.
The FAQ we read separately mentions a first-deposit bonus “limited to CAD 120”, which doesn’t match the promotions page. Confirm the live figure in the cashier before you deposit.
TonyBet Weekly Unlock Bonus at 75x
This offer gives up to $1,000 once a week from a $25 deposit, but the bonus starts locked. Each 1% of it unlocks after $50 of slot turnover; once unlocked, those funds carry 75x wagering, all within 7 days.
On a C$100 deposit with a C$100 Unlock Bonus: unlocking all of it takes C$5,000 of slot bets, then 75 × C$100 = C$7,500 more. Total C$12,500, expected loss C$500 on a C$100 bonus.
At the $1,000 maximum, that becomes C$50,000 to unlock plus C$75,000 to wager: C$125,000 in a week. We can’t see a case where this is good value for a recreational player; treat it as a VIP loyalty mechanic, not a bonus.
TonyBet VIP Cashback at 10x
From the Ruby VIP level, TonyBet pays bi-weekly cashback on net slot losses: 5% up to $750 at Ruby, rising to 10% up to $1,500 at Prime and above. It carries 10x wagering, 7 days to activate plus 7 days to wager, and a $15 max bet.
On C$2,000 of net slot losses at Ruby, you get C$100 back, owe C$1,000 in wagering and face a C$40 expected loss. Expected value: +C$60, the best ratio of any credit in this guide. 10x sits well under the 25x break-even.
TonyBet’s promotions page from Canada opens with a “Choose your Welcome Bonus” picker: First Deposit Casino (100% up to $1000 + 100 free spins), a sports free bet (100% up to $350), or “Continue without bonus”. The sports offer can’t be combined with the casino one, and the no-bonus option is a real choice, not a formality.

Kingmaker Default Deposit Bonus: 35x on Deposit + Bonus
Kingmaker’s homepage headline from Canada was a $750 welcome bonus “+ 50 chances to win $1,000,000”, verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. The General T&C default applies unless a promotion says otherwise: 35x on deposit plus bonus, 10x-the-bonus withdrawal cap, 10 days.
On a C$100 deposit with a C$100 bonus: C$7,000 wagering, C$280 expected loss, −C$180 expected value. The most you can withdraw from the bonus is C$1,000 (10 × C$100). Over 10 days that is C$700 of bets a day.
If the full $750 came as a 100% match on a $750 deposit (the split isn’t shown on the homepage), the default rule would mean C$52,500 of wagering. Read the specific promotion terms in the cashier; they override the default.
Kingmaker’s promotions page, captured from Canada, lists recurring cards such as “50 Free Spins Every Week” and “25% Live Casino Cashback”, each with a Read More link. Those individual rules are what override clause 7.16, so open them before you opt in.

Golisimo Under the Same 35x Rule
Golisimo advertises a casino welcome package of 300% up to $3,750 + 300 FS and a separate crypto welcome of 200% up to 3,000 USDT, verified on the operator’s site in October 2026. Its General T&C are word-for-word the same as Kingmaker’s, so the same defaults apply unless the promotion says otherwise.
A C$50 deposit with a C$50 bonus: 35 × C$100 = C$3,500 wagering, C$140 expected loss, C$500 withdrawal cap. Golisimo’s Interac deposits run from C$10 to C$3,000 per its payments page, so a large package means several deposits, each with its own rollover.
The promotions grid we captured mixes casino and sports reloads: a Crypto Weekly Reload of 60% up to 1,000 USDT, a casino Weekend Reload of $1,050 + 50 free spins and sports reloads of 50% up to $1,125 and 1,000 USDT. Casino and sports bonuses run on different clocks (10 days versus 30 under clause 7.12), so check the CASINO or SPORT tag on each card.

No-Deposit Offers at Kingmaker and Golisimo: 40x
Any no-deposit casino bonus defaults to x40 with a withdrawal cap of 5 times the bonus. The terms’ own example: a C$30 no-deposit bonus can pay out at most C$150.
The maths: C$30 × 40 = C$1,200 wagering, C$48 expected loss. Negative on paper, but no-deposit money costs you nothing, so the real question is whether a capped C$150 is worth an evening of play. For no-deposit free spins, winnings are capped at C$120 and then wagered 40x.
Stake Rakeback: A Different Model
Stake doesn’t advertise a standard welcome bonus; its help centre says new players redeem one “using the offer code provided by our affiliates”. Its ongoing reward is rakeback: 3.5% of the house edge back as cash, unlocked at Bronze VIP after $10,000 wagered.
On $10,000 of slot play at a 4% edge, your expected loss is $400, and rakeback returns 3.5% of that edge: about $14. No rollover, no cap, but small. It trims the effective edge from 4% to roughly 3.86%. (Stake’s help centre doesn’t state the currency; its main site isn’t covered by our screenshots.)

Only one credit in the table is positive on a 96% slot, and it’s a 10x cashback, not a welcome bonus: the lower the multiplier, the more of the bonus survives.
Wagering Requirement Calculator
Use the calculator to turn any bonus into a betting target and a number of spins. It is preset with Winshark’s standard first-deposit terms: a C$235 bonus, 45x rollover and the C$7 maximum bet.
Wagering Requirement Calculator
Work out how much you need to wager to release a bonus — before you accept it.
Educational estimate. Always check the exact wagering multiplier, game weighting, maximum bet and time limit in the offer terms — they vary by casino.
How to Read the Calculator
The bonus field is the amount the multiplier applies to. For bonus-only offers such as Winshark’s, enter the bonus. For deposit-plus-bonus offers such as Kingmaker and Golisimo’s default, enter the deposit and bonus added together.
The bet field gives you the minimum number of rounds. Divide that by the days on the clock (5 at the GBL Solutions sites, 10 at Kingmaker and Golisimo, 14 for TonyBet welcome bonuses) and you’ll see whether the pace fits your week.
Then take the total wagering, multiply by the game’s house edge, and you have the expected loss from the section above.
Three Inputs People Get Wrong
- The base. Entering only the bonus on a deposit-plus-bonus offer halves the real target on a 100% match.
- Game weighting. The calculator assumes 100% contribution. Divide the target by the game’s weighting: on RNG roulette at 5%, C$10,575 of credit needs C$211,500 of actual bets.
- Free spin winnings. They usually add their own rollover on top of the deposit bonus; add them as a second line rather than ignoring them.
Game Weighting: Why Game Choice Changes Everything
Game weighting (or contribution) is the share of each bet that counts toward the target. Slots count 100% almost everywhere; table games, live dealer games and instant games count partly or not at all, and some games are blocked outright while a bonus is active.
Weighting interacts with house edge in a way most guides skip. A game with a low edge but a low weighting can be far more expensive per wagering dollar than an average slot.
GBL Contribution Rates
Winshark’s rule 21 lists: slots 100%, eligible instant games 10%, roulette 5% “except live dealer games”, other games 0%. Wild Tokyo’s bonus terms give the same split and add that live dealer, table games and jackpots can’t be played with an active bonus.
Only named instant and crash games are allowed with a bonus at Winshark, such as BGaming’s Aviamasters titles, Hacksaw scratch cards and InOut’s Chicken Road 2.0. A long list of slots from studios including 3 Oaks, Amatic and BGaming is barred entirely while a bonus is active, and all Amusnet games are excluded.
Kingmaker and Golisimo Contribution Rates
Clause 7.7 of the shared T&C: slots (with exceptions), scratch cards and keno 100%; all live games 10%; all table and card games 0%; video poker 10%; Plinko 10%. Jackpot slots, Slingo and bingo can’t be played with bonus funds.
Clause 7.8 adds two special lists. Crazy Time, Dream Catcher, Dream Catcher First Person and Monopoly contribute 50%. A second list of mini-games, including Mines, Dice, Wheel, Tower and Plinball, contributes 10%.
Clause 7.9 sets 0% for named games, including Starburst XXXtreme, Dead or Alive and Dead or Alive 2, Aviator, Spaceman and Chicken Road. Clause 7.10 then lists hundreds of prohibited games that can’t be opened at all with a bonus, among them Immortal Romance, Blood Suckers and White Rabbit.
| 🎮 Game type | 🦈 Winshark / Wild Tokyo | 👑 Kingmaker / Golisimo |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 100% | 100% (except 0% and prohibited lists) |
| Scratch cards, keno | 10% if on the eligible instant list | 100% |
| RNG roulette | 5% | 0% (table game) |
| Live dealer games | 0% (Wild Tokyo: not playable) | 10% |
| Live game shows (Crazy Time, Monopoly) | 0% | 50% |
| Table and card games (RNG blackjack, baccarat) | 0% | 0% |
| Video poker | 0% | 10% |
| Crash and mini-games | 10% if eligible, many barred | 10% or 0% depending on list |
| Jackpot slots | Barred at Wild Tokyo | Not available with bonus funds |
Read across a row before you open a game: the same title can count fully at one site and not at all at its competitor.
Effective House Edge per Wagering Dollar
To compare games fairly, divide the game’s house edge by its weighting. The result is the expected cost of each C$1 that actually moves the wagering bar.
Single-zero roulette has a 2.70% house edge. At Winshark’s 5% weighting, every C$1 of credit costs C$0.54 on average: more than thirteen times the cost of clearing on a 96% slot. Blackjack played with basic strategy has an edge of roughly 0.5%, but at 0% weighting it never moves the bar at all.
| 🎮 Game | 📉 House edge | ⚖️ Weighting | 💸 Cost per C$1 of credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 96% RTP slot (any of the six) | 4% | 100% | C$0.04 |
| 97% RTP slot (any of the six) | 3% | 100% | C$0.03 |
| Single-zero RNG roulette (Winshark) | 2.70% | 5% | C$0.54 |
| Live single-zero roulette (Kingmaker, Golisimo) | 2.70% | 10% | C$0.27 |
| Live blackjack, basic strategy (Kingmaker, Golisimo) | ≈0.5% | 10% | ≈C$0.05 |
| Game show at 4% edge (Kingmaker, Golisimo) | 4% (illustrative) | 50% | C$0.08 |
| Instant game at 3% edge (Winshark eligible list) | 3% (illustrative) | 10% | C$0.30 |
A slot with the highest RTP you can find is the cheapest way to clear at every site here; live blackjack at Kingmaker and Golisimo is the only alternative that comes close.
Games You Can’t Play With a Bonus
Opening a barred game with an active bonus is the fastest way to have winnings voided. At Winshark, rule 22 says instant games are unavailable “except for the Eligible Instant games listed”, and rule 23 lists the slots you can’t play.
At Kingmaker and Golisimo, clause 7.10 is even longer. If your favourite slot is on the prohibited list, finish or cancel the bonus before you open it, or play it with a separate, bonus-free deposit later.
Why Live Casino Is Usually the Wrong Place to Clear
Live dealer games count 0% at Winshark and can’t be played with a bonus at Wild Tokyo. At Kingmaker and Golisimo they count 10%, so a C$7,000 target would need C$70,000 at the tables.
Game shows at 50% are the exception, but you’d need to know the specific show’s RTP before relying on them. If you love live casino, the honest advice is to skip the deposit bonus and look at Golisimo’s Live Cashback (25% up to $300) or Kingmaker’s equivalent instead.
Max Bet Rules: C$7, $10, 5 USDT and C$150
A max bet rule caps each wager while a bonus is active, and breaking it usually voids the bonus and its winnings. It exists to stop players from betting the bonus in a few huge spins, but it also sets the minimum number of rounds you must play.
Winshark and Its Sister Sites: C$7
Winshark’s rule 1 sets the maximum bonus bet at “5 EUR / 7 CAD”, and it “includes Bonus buy features, bonus rounds purchased within a game, and bets that are doubled”. Need for Spin, Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo use the same C$7 figure in their bonus terms.
Winshark’s welcome promo card said C$8, but its general rules say C$7. Stay at C$7 or below; when two pages disagree, the stricter figure is the one that can’t be used against you.
TonyBet: $10 per Bet, $15 on Cashback
TonyBet’s general bonus terms cap bets at $10 “with an active bonus” unless the specific bonus says otherwise. The VIP cashback states its own $15 limit.
At $10, a C$3,000 target takes at least 300 spins; a C$30,000 target takes 3,000. The 14-day clock makes that manageable for most regular players.
Kingmaker and Golisimo: The C$150 Abuse Line
The Kingmaker and Golisimo terms don’t set a classic max bet in clause 7.16, but clause 7.19 lists “placing individual bet amounts greater than 150 CAD before wagering is met” as promotion abuse.
C$150 is high enough that few recreational players will touch it. The rules around it matter more: switching from high-risk to low-risk betting after a big win also counts as abuse.
Vave: 5 USDT
Vave’s general casino bonus rule caps bets at 5 USDT, or the equivalent in another cryptocurrency, unless an offer’s special terms say otherwise. Because balances are held in crypto, check the conversion before each session if you play in BTC or ETH.
Bonus Buys and Doubled Bets Count
At the GBL Solutions sites, buying a bonus round counts as a bet at the purchase price. A C$100 bonus buy at a C$1 stake is a C$100 bet and blows straight through the C$7 cap.
The same applies to “ante” or “double chance” features that raise your stake. If the game shows a higher total bet than your base stake, the higher number is the one that counts.
How Max Bet Interacts With the Clock
Max bet plus time limit gives you a minimum daily workload. At Winshark, C$10,575 in 5 days at C$7 is at least 302 maximum-bet spins a day; most players spin at C$1–C$2, which means 1,000 to 2,000 spins a day.
If that pace doesn’t fit your life, the bonus is the wrong size for you, regardless of its expected value.
Time Limits: 5, 7, 10 and 14 Days
Every wagering requirement here comes with a deadline, and missing it forfeits the bonus and any winnings from it. The windows we found range from 3 days on the GBL daily bonuses to 14 days on TonyBet welcome bonuses.
| 🎁 Offer | 🎯 Wagering | ⏳ Days | 📅 Per day | 🎰 Minimum spins at max bet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Winshark standard first deposit (C$235) | C$10,575 | 5 | C$2,115 | 1,511 at C$7 |
| Winshark High-Roller (C$790 deposit) | C$17,775 | 5 | C$3,555 | 2,540 at C$7 |
| TonyBet welcome (C$100 bonus, bonus base) | C$3,000 | 14 | C$214 | 300 at $10 |
| TonyBet welcome (C$1,000 bonus, bonus base) | C$30,000 | 14 | C$2,143 | 3,000 at $10 |
| TonyBet Weekly Unlock (C$100) | C$12,500 | 7 | C$1,786 | 1,250 at $10 |
| TonyBet VIP cashback (C$100) | C$1,000 | 7 | C$143 | 67 at $15 |
| Kingmaker / Golisimo default (C$100 + C$100) | C$7,000 | 10 | C$700 | 47 at C$150 (abuse line) |
Per-day wagering is the column to check against your real habits: Winshark’s welcome needs ten times TonyBet’s daily pace on a similar-sized bonus.
48 Hours to Activate at GBL Sites
Before the 5-day clock even starts, Winshark, Need for Spin, Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo give you 48 hours to activate a credited cash bonus or free spins. Miss it and the bonus is gone.
Activation is a deliberate step. Only press it when you have the next five days free to play; the clock starts at activation, not at deposit.
3-Day Daily Bonuses at Need for Spin and Wild Tokyo
Need for Spin’s Bonus Map gives one bonus a day from a C$40 deposit (the October 9 example was 30 free spins plus 16 coins on Blast The Bass), at 45x, expiring 3 days after activation, with winnings capped at 10 times the deposit. Wild Tokyo’s daily bonuses run at 50x with the same 3-day window and 10x-deposit cap.
Three days for a 45x or 50x target is the tightest combination we found. Treat these as bonus spins to enjoy, not money to plan on withdrawing.
Need for Spin’s promotions page, captured from Canada, leads with its Welcome 1st Deposit Bonus (100% up to C$1,200 + 200 free spins), an Easy Start Bonus (30 free spins + 3 coins from C$15) and a High Roller 1st Deposit Bonus (100% up to C$1,600 + 250 free spins).

What Happens When the Clock Runs Out
Winshark’s rule 3 is blunt: if you don’t meet the requirement in time, “the bonus funds and winnings will be removed from their balance”. Kingmaker and Golisimo’s clause 7.12 says the bonus “and any winnings derived therefrom will be voided”.
Your own unplayed real money is not part of that removal at Winshark, where real money is used first. But any win made after your cash ran out sits in the bonus wallet, and that is what disappears.
Max Cashout Caps: The Ceiling on Bonus Wins
A max cashout cap limits how much you can withdraw from a bonus, however much you win while clearing it. Anything above the cap is removed at withdrawal. Caps matter most on no-deposit offers, but the Kingmaker, Golisimo and Winshark rules also cap deposit bonuses.
Kingmaker and Golisimo: 10x the Bonus
Clause 7.16 limits withdrawals from a deposit casino bonus to 10 times “the bonus amount received”, with the terms’ own example: “a 15 CAD deposit bonus will have a maximum withdrawal limit of 150 CAD.” Winnings above that “will be voided and removed from the account balance at the withdrawal stage”.
On a C$100 bonus the cap is C$1,000. If a lucky feature takes your balance to C$2,500 while clearing, C$1,500 of it is removed when you withdraw. That’s why the high-volatility hunt for one huge win is weaker here than it looks.
Winshark: Five Times the Deposit
Winshark’s rule 11 caps winnings from deposit bonuses and free spins at “five times the deposited amount unless otherwise stated in specific bonus terms”. On a C$235 deposit, that is C$1,175.
Note the base: Kingmaker caps by the bonus, Winshark by the deposit. On Winshark’s 50% High-Roller option a C$790 deposit would be capped at C$3,950, against a C$395 bonus.
No-Deposit, Free Spin and Cashback Caps
The caps on free money are tighter: – Winshark: C$80 from registration no-deposit bonuses; C$160 from no-deposit free spins; C$790 from no-deposit cash, bonus-shop free spins or cashback, unless an offer says otherwise. – Kingmaker and Golisimo: 5x the bonus on no-deposit cash (C$150 on a C$30 bonus); C$120 on no-deposit free spins. – Need for Spin and Wild Tokyo: C$700 on bonus-shop, tournament and Super Bonus winnings; 10x the deposit on daily bonuses. – Vave: 50 USDT from no-deposit bonuses and free spins.
For more on free-money offers and their caps, see our no-deposit bonus guide and free spins no-deposit guide.
Vave’s 10,000 USDT Ceiling
Vave caps withdrawals from any deposit bonus at 10,000 USDT, or the equivalent in crypto. That is high enough that it rarely bites on a typical bonus, but it sits alongside the 1.5 BTC welcome headline, so a very large bonus could in theory run into it.
Withdrawing Early: What You Lose
At most casinos here you can withdraw before finishing the rollover, but you lose the bonus and everything won with it. That trade is sometimes the smart move, especially after an early win on your own money.
Winshark Rule 5 in Plain English
Rule 5 says you “can request a withdrawal before the bonus wagering requirements are met”, in which case “both bonus money and derivatives will be removed from the balance, and the remaining funds will be available for withdrawal”.
Because real money is used first (rule 7), an early win on your own deposit sits in the real balance. If you hit a big win while still on cash, you can usually withdraw that real balance and walk away, giving up only the bonus. That is the single most valuable exit in the GBL rulebook.
Kingmaker and Golisimo Clause 7.13
Clause 7.13 says customers who withdraw before the requirement is met “will have their bonus balance and all winnings derived therefrom voided”. Clause 7.11 confirms the real money balance is wagered first.
The effect matches Winshark’s: you keep your untouched real balance, and lose the bonus wallet. The difference lies in the details of what the operator treats as “derived” from the bonus, and clause 7.3 makes the company’s decision on that “final and non-negotiable”.
Cancelling a Bonus on Purpose
Winshark’s rule 12 says “any bonus can be canceled before the wagering requirements are met”, and rule 13 that you can refuse bonuses entirely. Cancelling is the clean way out if you realise you can’t finish in time, or if you want to play a game that’s barred while a bonus is active.
Cancel before your real money runs out if you can. Once only bonus money is left, cancelling simply removes it.
No Reactivation After a Withdrawal Request
Winshark’s rule 6: “You cannot activate previously unused bonuses after a withdrawal request.” If you have a pending free spin package or a credited bonus you haven’t activated, withdrawing first kills it.
Rule 4 adds that only one bonus can be active at a time and deposit bonuses aren’t cumulative, so plan the order before you start.
Banned Strategies That Void Winnings
Every set of terms we read bans certain betting patterns while a bonus is active. Break them and the casino can void winnings, even if you met the wagering in full. Most are aimed at shifting risk onto the house; knowing them keeps an honest player from tripping over one.
Low-Risk Roulette Coverage
Kingmaker and Golisimo’s clause 7.19 bans “low risk roulette bet (any bet spread combination on roulette games covering 24 (twenty-four) or more of the 37 (thirty-seven) unique spots on the table)”. Betting red and black together, or covering most of the board, is out.
Since roulette counts 0% at these two sites anyway (it’s a table game) and only 5% at Winshark, there is rarely a reason to try.
Switching Games or Stakes After a Big Win
Clause 7.19 also bans “moving from low weighted or un-weighted games … to a high weighted game after large wins” and moving “from high risk betting to low risk betting after a big win” to clear wagering. Two-tier betting is listed too.
In practice: pick one game type and one stake size before you start, and keep them roughly steady. Sudden drops in stake right after a big hit are exactly what reviewers look for.
Delaying Bonus Rounds
Winshark’s rules 16 and 17 forbid delaying game rounds, free spins or bonus features until after wagering is complete, leaving bets on table games, and building up in-game value to collect with real money later. Kingmaker and Golisimo’s clause 7.19 covers the same tactics.
If a slot saves progress (collectible meters, stored free spins), finish or abandon it before the bonus ends. Don’t carry it into a cash session.
One Bonus per Person, Device and Address
Winshark’s rule 15 limits offers to one per person, family, address, email, IP address, phone, card, e-wallet and device. Kingmaker and Golisimo’s clause 7.2 lists person, family, household address, phone, computer and IP.
Sharing a household with another player at the same site can make one of you ineligible. Ask support before both of you claim a welcome bonus.
How to Clear Wagering Without Wasting Money
The best rollover strategy is choosing the right bonus, then playing the cheapest eligible game at a steady stake. Nothing in the rules can be gamed, so the gains come from avoiding mistakes.
- Run the numbers first. Multiply the wagering by the slot’s house edge and compare it to the bonus. If the loss is above the bonus, decide whether you’re paying for entertainment or skip it.
- Confirm the base. Bonus only or deposit plus bonus? If the page doesn’t say, ask live chat and screenshot the answer.
- Check the eligible and barred lists. Open the 0% and prohibited game lists, then choose a 100%-weighted slot with the highest RTP you can find.
- Set your stake below the cap. Pick a bet that fits both the max-bet rule (C$7, $10 or 5 USDT) and the daily pace you need.
- Activate only when you can play. At the GBL sites the 5-day clock starts at activation, so time it to your free days.
- Track progress. Use the bonus tracker in your account; if you’re well behind halfway through the window, cancel while your real balance still has money in it.
- Withdraw cleanly. Once the target is met, request the withdrawal before playing on, and have your ID ready for verification.
Pick the Right Offer Size, Not the Biggest
A big package is only valuable if you can finish it. Winshark’s C$235 standard option needs C$10,575 in five days; its C$3,155 High-Roller maximum needs C$141,975. The smaller one is the only realistic choice for most players.
On TonyBet, a C$100 bonus at 30x needs about C$214 a day over 14 days, roughly 200 one-dollar spins: very manageable. Scale the deposit to the pace you can sustain.
Choose Slot RTP and Volatility on Purpose
Prefer slots that publish 96% RTP or higher, and check the specific site’s version in the game info panel. Medium volatility balances the chance of a carrying win against the risk of a fast bust.
With caps at 10x the bonus (Kingmaker, Golisimo) or 5x the deposit (Winshark), very high volatility adds bust risk without adding much upside. See our online slots guide for how RTP and volatility work, and the best payout casinos page for higher-RTP options.
Pro Tip:
If you hit a solid win while still playing with your own deposit at Winshark or Kingmaker, compare the cash balance with the remaining rollover. Withdrawing the real balance and giving up the bonus often beats grinding a 45x or 35x target with the win at risk.
When to Decline the Bonus
Decline when the game you want is weighted at 0% or barred, when you can’t keep the daily pace, or when you’d like to withdraw soon. TonyBet even offers “Continue without bonus” right in its welcome picker.
Playing bonus-free means your deposit is withdrawable at any time, subject only to normal verification. For a live casino or blackjack player, that freedom is usually worth more than the bonus.
Watch out:
A bonus you can’t finish costs more than no bonus at all. At sites that use real money first, a lucky early win on your deposit is still locked behind the full rollover unless you’re willing to forfeit the bonus to withdraw it.
Low and No Wagering Alternatives
The lowest rollovers we found aren’t on welcome bonuses but on cashback and loyalty credits. If you want value rather than headline size, start there.
Cashback vs Matched Bonuses
TonyBet’s VIP cashback (10x) and Winshark’s Floating Cashback (30x) sit at the two ends of the cashback scale. At 10x, the expected loss on a 96% slot is 40% of the credit; at 30x, it is 120%.
Rolling Slots (10% up to C$300), Need for Spin (15% up to C$500) and Wild Tokyo (20% up to C$450) also run weekly cashback, plus daily cashback of 5% (7% for VIPs). The multipliers for those weren’t on the pages we read, so ask before you rely on them. Our cashback bonus guide compares them in detail.
Rakeback Without Rollover
Stake’s rakeback is paid as cash with no wagering, at 3.5% of the house edge. It is small, about $14 per $10,000 wagered on a 4%-edge slot, but it is withdrawable.
It suits a high-volume player who would wager anyway and wants a steady trim on the edge, not a casual player hoping for a boost.
VIP Clubs Advertising Lighter Wagering
Need for Spin’s VIP Club promises “lighter wagering” and Rolling Slots’ and Wild Tokyo’s VIP Clubs advertise lower or low wagering, alongside personal managers and higher limits.
Vave’s VIP level rewards carry 10x, and points converted to cash carry x5. None of those three VIP Clubs publishes its exact multipliers on the pages we read, so treat “lighter” as a promise to confirm, not a number.
| 🎁 Credit type | 🎰 Example | ✖️ Wagering | 📉 Expected loss as share of credit (96% slot) |
|---|---|---|---|
| VIP cashback | TonyBet Ruby to Prime | 10x | 40% |
| VIP level rewards | Vave | 10x | 40% |
| VIP point conversion | Vave | 5x | 20% |
| Weekly cashback | Winshark Floating Cashback | 30x | 120% |
| Loyalty-level bonuses | Rolling Slots, Need for Spin | 45x | 180% |
| Daily bonus map | Wild Tokyo | 50x | 200% |
| Rakeback | Stake | None | 0% (paid in cash) |
The pattern holds across brands: a credit with 10x or less keeps most of its value, while anything at 30x or above is mostly entertainment.
Rolling Slots’ promotions page from Canada shows how many credits stack up: third and fourth deposit cards (65% up to C$1,400 and C$1,600), 5% and 7% daily money back, a Wednesday 30% up to C$450, a Monday 10% cashback up to C$300, a weekend 50% up to C$400 and a Bonus Map from C$40. Each one falls under the same C$7 max bet, and only one bonus can be active at a time, so claiming one can lock you out of the next until it is cleared or cancelled.

Red Flags in Bonus Terms: A Checklist
Read the terms, not the banner. On the sites in this guide, the headline, the promo card and the rulebook disagreed more than once on October 9, 2026.
Headline vs Card vs Terms
- Winshark: the promo card showed a C$8 max bet; the general rules say C$7. The High-Roller card said “up to C$3945”; the terms say C$3,155.
- Need for Spin: the homepage advertises C$4,500 + 550 FS, but the three welcome deposit offers on its promotions page add up to C$4,100 + 500 FS.
- Rolling Slots: the C$5,800 + 750 FS headline compares with C$5,300 + 700 FS across its four deposit cards.
- Wild Tokyo: C$4,500 + 700 FS on the homepage, C$3,400 + 600 FS across the three listed deposits.
- TonyBet: up to $2,500 on the homepage, 100% up to $1,000 in the picker, and an FAQ line limiting the first deposit bonus to C$120.
When figures disagree, plan around the least generous one and ask support to confirm the rest in writing.
Currency Mismatches
Kingmaker’s promotions page carried euro-denominated text next to dollar headlines, Golisimo shows “$” on its Canadian site without labelling it CAD, and Wild Tokyo’s daily bonus calendar listed minimum deposits in euros. Vave works only in crypto.
A max bet or cap written in another currency can be breached by accident when exchange rates move. Stay comfortably below the limit.
Vague Clauses With Broad Discretion
Kingmaker and Golisimo’s clause 7.3 makes the company’s decision on wagering disputes “final and non-negotiable”. Winshark’s rule 18 lets the casino cancel bonuses and winnings “received in an unfair way”. Neither is unusual, but both raise the stakes of a misunderstanding.
Keep screenshots of the offer terms on the day you opt in, along with any chat confirming the base or max bet.
Checklist Before You Opt In

- Days to activate and days to finish
- Maximum bet, including bonus buys
- Weighting of the game you actually want to play, and whether it’s barred
- Max cashout from the bonus and from free spins
- What happens if you withdraw early
- Whether a no-bonus option exists
Wagering Terms, Offshore Sites and Canadian Law
All twelve casinos we track are offshore operators, not regulated by a Canadian province, so their bonus terms are enforced by the operator and its licensing body, not your provincial regulator.
Under section 207(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada, gambling is legal when “conducted and managed” by a provincial government or under its licence. There is no federal online gambling regulator; each province decides.
Ontario and Alberta Players
Ontario has run a regulated iGaming market since April 4, 2022, overseen by the AGCO with iGaming Ontario conducting and managing it. Alberta’s regulated market launched on July 13, 2026. Players in both provinces should use their province’s regulated sites.
Ontario’s rules restrict public advertising of bonuses, so you’ll see regulated-site offers only once you’re on the operator’s site. TonyBet’s Kahnawake terms explicitly exclude Ontario and Alberta, and the iGO list of regulated sites includes a separate TonyBet operation for Ontario. See our Ontario online casinos page.
Who Resolves a Bonus Dispute
If a bonus or its winnings are voided, you deal with the operator and its licensing body: the Curaçao GCB for the GBL Solutions sites, the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission for TonyBet and 22Casino, and Anjouan for BC.Game. Kingmaker and Golisimo don’t name a licensing body.
A provincial regulator can’t step in for an offshore site. That alone is a reason to favour offers with clear, written terms. Our guide to online gambling law in Canada covers the province-by-province picture.
Are Bonus Winnings Taxed?
For recreational players, the CRA generally treats gambling winnings as windfalls, not taxable income. People “in the business of gambling” can be taxed, and interest earned on winnings is taxable. Bonus winnings follow the same logic.
Age Rules
You must be 19+ in most provinces and territories, and 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. The offshore sites set their own minimum (18 at most of them; TonyBet’s footer says 19+), but your provincial age applies to you.
Responsible Gambling and Wagering Targets
Wagering requirements are designed to keep you playing, so they deserve the same limits as any other gambling. A bonus doesn’t change your budget; it only changes how long the budget lasts.
Wagering Targets Can Push Longer Sessions
A 5-day clock on C$10,575 of play is a strong nudge to keep spinning. If you notice yourself playing to “save” a bonus rather than for fun, cancel it. A forfeited bonus costs nothing you haven’t already lost.
Never deposit more to finish a rollover. Each new deposit at a GBL site is debited before the bonus and joins the same pot.
Tools at These Casinos
- Winshark, Need for Spin, Rolling Slots and Wild Tokyo: Take a Break, Reality Check reminders at 60, 90 or 180 minutes, personal limits and self-exclusion by email.
- TonyBet: deposit and loss limits, time-out, self-exclusion of 6 months to 3 years, a Bonus Issuance opt-out and a 48-hour cooling-off on limit increases.
- Vave: deposit, loss and wager limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion.
- Kingmaker and Golisimo: self-exclusion and time-outs on request through support.
TonyBet’s Bonus Issuance opt-out is worth highlighting: it lets you switch bonuses off entirely if rollover targets make you play more than you’d like.

How We Checked These Terms
We read the bonus terms, general T&Cs, promotions pages, VIP pages and FAQs of all twelve casinos on their own sites, from a Canadian IP, on October 9, 2026, and captured screenshots of their promotions pages. We did not open accounts, deposit or claim bonuses.
Expected-loss figures are our calculations, using a 96% RTP slot unless stated, the operators’ published multipliers and our own illustrative deposit sizes. Terms change often; the date on each figure is the date we read it. Our rating methodology explains how bonus fairness feeds into each casino’s score.
